And people wondenas. y the greed is getting worse in gaming. lol. Just look at all you people, drooling over being charged two subscriptions for something that should be free. I bought a PS4, and one of the biggest factors was BC. I figured, well, we have to pay to play, but at least we get BC. But I never thought in my wildest dreams Sony would actually have the BALLS to charge another annual fee for it. That's some f'ed up shit right there. That's something MS wouldn't even attempt....MICROSOFT!!

No, they only attempted to make you pay a subscription (Xbox Live)to be able to use something we've already paid for (BBC iPlayer) 4 years ago. (okay so it's different but still).
That said,a streaming service does not interest me unless they have a way of allowing you to play games for nothing that you already own but no service like this would ever just be free. I'll stick to buying older games i want on ebay aor play my ps1 games on my PS3 or PS2.

What I meant by free was that it should be included in PS+. I don't believe it should be yet another subscription.

Good luck playing your free games from older Nintendo platforms on your free Virtual Console as well as the very quickly discounted Nintendo 1st party software on the Wii U and bye bye!

A new Wii-U owner can pop in their copy of Xenoblade, and game on. A new PS4 owner (me), can launch PS Now, purchase The Last of Us while looking at their physical copy of The Last of Us and imagine what should have been.

Sell your PS4, even used, you should not lose more than 50$. With the money you have buy a Wii U and Xenoblade for like 60-80$ right? And enjoy, problem solved.

It's a thought, for sure. I already have Xenoblade and a Wii, so the save file will carry over. I'm just so disillusioned by Sony and MS so far. Both of them have made it clear that they're no longer interested in keeping the staples of what console gaming is. MS, with their attempts to kill used games and physical copies and now Sony with their attempts to charge for online play and games players already own. Both of them have gone on the attack of BC. It's almost unacceptable imo because I'm not a fanboy with blinders on.
I am old enough to remember reading Kaz's statment about how BC was always going to be Sony's plan and how every single console will feature it forever. I remember when you could buy a game for $40.00 and it was a FULL product with no content intentionally left out on purpose so that the publishers can nickle and dime you to death. I remember when you could buy an online title, pop it in, and play for free (hell, the PS3 is doing that right now). I remember when you could buy a game, and it would just spin up and play without having to install anything.
Those days are gone, and replaced by something worse imo. Gaming at it's core, is still great. Playing a game is as exciting as it ever was etc. But everything else is slowly going to hell. Nintendo seems to be the last company who still opperates in the traditional way. Things that SHOULD be included in a console from the moment you buy it and plug it in, are. How long that lasts is anyone's guess but right now, Wii-U is, sadly, the last of it's kind.
I don't know what I'll buy from here on out. Maybe I'll just sell my PS4 and use the money on something else.
