And people wonder why the greed is getting worse in gaming. lol. Just look at all you people, drooling over being charged two subscriptions for something that should be free. I bought a PS4, and one of the biggest factors was BC. I figured, well, we have to pay to play, but at least we get BC. But I never thought in my wildest dreams Sony would actually have the BALLS to charge another annual fee for it. That's some f'ed up shit right there. That's something MS wouldn't even attempt....MICROSOFT!!

Ugh. This generation is totally over now imo. Both MS and Sony have gone bat shit greedy in different ways and it's, imo, gone too far. I find it funny how the one console out of the three that ISN'T over reaching with greedy hands is the one no one is buying. It's like the total IQ of the world is getting lower by the day and companies are pouncing on it.

Guess I'll be playing a Wii-U after all. I'll just get my core fix on Steam or older generations.

No, they only attempted to make you pay a subscription (Xbox Live)to be able to use something we've already paid for (BBC iPlayer) 4 years ago. (okay so it's different but still).

That said,a streaming service does not interest me unless they have a way of allowing you to play games for nothing that you already own but no service like this would ever just be free. I'll stick to buying older games i want on ebay aor play my ps1 games on my PS3 or PS2.

Hmm, pie.

I'm going to keep a close eye on this, if it becomes really successful it might become a main feature for Sony's next console (not just BC). I'm pessimistic but we'll see what happens.

But, but, the power of the cloud?

Wait, so you think that streaming old games you don't own should be free?

OT: I don't get why so many people are worried that this is going to negatively impact Sonys hardware business, the only platform that I can see being hurt by this is the PS3 and maybe the Vita other than that I'd view this as a great way for Sony to expand the PS brand, especially if they open the service to 3rd party devices.

They are recommending 5Mbit/s connection speed:

Matthew Harper on January 7th, 2014 at 11:26 am said:
We recommend a 5MBPS+ connection. In our internal tests, users with this bandwidth or greater have been enjoying a low latency, high-quality gaming experience. PS Now tests your connection of each game and optimizes for quality if you are above the minimum requirements. We strive to make the gameplay experience feel as if the game is being played locally on their device – fast and responsive (including for FPS and games with twitch mechanics). The Closed Beta will definitely provide a great opportunity to test the experience with gamers with varying connection speeds and our developers will, of course, be working diligently to optimize the service based upon the feedback we receive from the community.

You honestly thought this feature was going to be free?

Wow, just wow! I hope you don't run a business.

Expect two tiers of Playstation Plus when this launches. Standard Plus and Plus + PS Now

I expect a Playsation Now subscription and the PS+ subscription to be completly diffrent. They are sperate services so they will be seperate subscriptions.

So do I but I expect some type of tiny discount for PS+ and PS Now

Ohhhh I see what your saying now. Yeah I could see that happening but that would be pretty generous of Sony though.
