It´s Activision´s own fault that Call of Duty: Ghosts for the Nintendo Wii U does not sell good because their not supporting the Nintendo Wii U version, and they announced that before the game was released!!! And because DLC is very important for Call of Duty: Ghosts gamers, no one purchased the Nintendo Wii U version which has no DLC!!!

Bolded.

If that was the case then any version not named xbox would do pretty bad.

XBOX DLC first. ALWAYS.

cod ps4>>>>>>cod xbone when it comes to sales. Its the nintedo demographic not Activsions fault. I would pull cod support all together. How can they make mone with such ow sales?

I think it does not matter who get the DLC first, the most important thing is that you get the DLC!!! DLC will be released for the PlayStation sooner or later and the XBox, but not for the Nintendo Wii U!!! And this is the reason why more gamers purchase Call of Duty: Ghosts for other consoles than the Nintendo Wii U!!!

Damn, what happened to gaming nowadays? People don't buy a game because they don't get ripped-off with overpriced DLC?

I'm already getting old...

Man, we played stuff like Counter-Strike, Quake 1-3 or Unreal Tournament because it had tons of free content. Some of the best maps were user generated and were even played in championships.

I would argue that they made a LOT of games tailored to the console. Even in the beginning, what were all those dance fitness etc games for?

They did for the casual but sadly the core missed out. Lik the controls where perfect for a FPS (if done right). There was no new IP here (with a budget and talent behind it) that could have created a market for itself on a Nintendo system. I know Conduit tried to feel that void but that was too late in the life and the game wasn't exactly anything more then a generic shooter. Then again can we really blame any 3rd party for not taking on that opportunity early? No one expected the Wii to explode and by then everyone invested heavily into the HD twins.

Hence why I said somewhere here, that Nintendo need to build again. They need to be what Micrososft was when it joined the gaming market. They can't rely on things just happening they need to go out there and talk about next gen to get it right next time t at least get mutiplatform releases of new IPs in the future. This is assuming we will still have gaming consoles and not integrated gaming systems in tvs or something.

No COD after Modern Warfare sold below 5 million on the PS3. You're grasping at straws.

COD 3

Wii: 2.2m

PS3 1.42m

Wii missed out on the series explosion with COD4 cos Activision screwed Nintendo gamers.

it wasn't so much Activision but IW refusing to work on Nintendo platforms. Activision shoudl have had the balls to tell them to make one.

And forced the gimping of the HD twins versions, potentialy ruining the multi billion dollar franchise before it even got going?  Or would you prefer that the Wii version of COD4 just ran like shit compared to the others with stripped down features?  If you want to know the reason COD4 didn't release for the Wii along side the other versions it's because Nintendo released an overclocked Gamecube to compete against multicore, shader model 3.0 consoles with almost 10 times the RAM & an onine focus.

So who's fault was it that the nexgen COD with it's new engine and online focus didn't release on Wii?  The blame lands square on Nintendo for not making a powerful enough console.  I played W@W for hundreds of hours on Wii because I was an idiot, it's far from a good version with it's low resolution and under 30 FPS performance & missing content.  Or was the low frame rate, resolution, & lack of feature pairity because of lazy devs?

The fans that where there for COD3 on Wii, slowly moved to the HD twins, not because of any one game, but because almost every truly exciting multiplatform game was either not on the Wii, or the Wii had a crap version.  It didn't take people long to pick up on the trend, these same people are the fans who are holding off on buying a Wii U now because it seems to have the same problems as the Wii (out of step with the competition power wise) without any of the Wii's positive points as a piece of hardware.

Yeah, that's sad. They pay $60 for a game with 14 maps and another $60 for further 12 maps.

A new game with 26 maps every 2 years would be much better, but they try to milk the shit out of it.

Quake 2 & 3 were also published by Activision. That's how times have changed.

You are absolutly right!!! But as long as gamers purchase Call of Duty games nothing will ever change!!!

If they do the same stuff this gen like last gen, the series will have it's problems. Gamers are already tired.

Activision already killed Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk's Skateboarding this way.

But I don't know... Everyone complains about CoD, but they still buy it.

Is it true that the graphics improved significantly in singleplayer after a few patches?

I only saw some screenshots shortly before release and they looked poorly.

Can't be a quality port in the first place if you can improve the graphics with a patch...
