Forums - Gaming - Update: GT6(81)>Forza 5(80) GT definite racing game according to metacritic

I'm not interested in either of them (only play arcade racers/kart games) but the amount of Day one DLC and microtransations in Forza 5 is absolutely sickening, and I'm glad it's getting hammered in user reviews for it in both Metacritic and Amazon. It's like a $60 FTP game.

Forza 5 doesn't have a huge amount of day one DLC.  GT6 also had a huge day one patch.  As for the microtransactions the economy in Forza 5 was recently adjusted so there is pretty much no need for micotransactions on top of that you can earn bonus credits each month by siging up to the Forza rewards program which is free.

no kidding.

I got F5 special edition 80$

The extra cars (15ish) i got i still got to pay for in the game, the extra cars in GT6 AnnEdition i got free in the game (25 of them) plsu Free Benz Vision GT and Free BMW M4

F5 LaFerrari in the game on disk, yet it forces a 9.99 dlc pack if you want to use it WTF

I get a message from Tten, to try a online race... LA Ferrari is needed for it... u aholes.

The greed by Tten in F5 will severly damage the franchise, mark my words.

I can't believe it. With all that cloud computing talk, 600% more this and that, next gen hype hype hype and it couldn't even outscore a last gen title on outdated hardware. Plus the loopholes and excuses never seem to end. Oh FZ still is the best last gen or Forza 5 is incomplete. Is it GT's fault that Turn 10 made an incomplete product? Nope, that's on Turn 10. They dropped the ball and the reviews show it. Now Forza is losing in sales and reviews. Microsoft better start that annual bundling process again or it's going to be a very bumpy ride for Forza this gen.

Its not loosing any sales its attachment ratio is miles better then GT6 which is loosing a lot of sales.

GT7 first week >> Forza 5 LT sales

Attachment ratio on a launch of a new console is just a spin or excuse that is used when the game sells like shit cakes.

Its the third highest selling game on the X1 I'm pretty sure no one expected it to outsell Battlefield 4 or COD: Ghost.  So no its not selling like shit cakes unless your thinking is illogical.

Sure since GT7 will not launch anytime soon that is a pretty safe bet.

Why not?   It's X1's highest rated exclusive. Hell even Killzone SF outsold BF4, AC4 and Fifa. (CoD the exception of course)

Side note - And if anyone is going to chime in with the excuse of X1 players have more exclusives to buy, don't bother replying to me with that excuse..

Because an exclusive launch title on a system that hasn't even been out a month isn't going to have a high attach rate, right?

Knack must be better than all the Gears of War games because it currently has a higher attach rate.

The reason I brought up attachment ratio is to proof that Forza is not loosing any sales.  Forza 5 the lowest rated game in the frachise but it still has a very high attchment ratio.  And if you look at attchment ratio its currently doing better then any previous Forza game.

Attachment ratio has nothing to do with sales. Just because we don't have a large number of Xbox Ones on the market doesn't mean that Forza is doing well. Sales of Forza 5 are lower than they were for Forza 3 and 4 over the same period of time. Forza lost sales going from 3 to 4 and will lose sales again going from 4 to 5.

You can't compare the sales of the previous Forza games to Forza 5, because Forza 5 is the first game in the franchise that is a launch title all the other games launched when there was already a decent size instal base.  And of course sales of Forza 5 are lower to 3 and 4 when both of those games launched the 360 already had a solid instal base compared to zero with Forza 5.

So you're saying it's ok to compare the attachment rates of a game that  came out on a console with 80M units to one with 1.5M units. But it's not ok to compare two games that come out on different consoles because of userbase? Sounds about right.

Also, you're the one who said that Forza isn't losing sales with Forza 5. You can't make that assesment without making the comparison to Forza 4. My argument was that Forza is losing sales with 5. Your argument was literally just the oposing view of the same argument. Yet mine isn't valid because they came out on different consoles? Are you seeing the issue here?

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Yeah, it's actually painful sometimes. I should point out that I like the Forza games. I just don't see how someone could post some of this stuff thinking all was well and good.

I own F5, but the game is a pure money grab by the scum at turn ten.
And looking at Xbone game choices, there really is nothing else.
