Forums - Gaming - Update: GT6(81)>Forza 5(80) GT definite racing game according to metacritic

Its not loosing any sales its attachment ratio is miles better then GT6 which is loosing a lot of sales.

Because an exclusive launch title on a system that hasn't even been out a month isn't going to have a high attach rate, right?  Knack must be better than all the Gears of War games because it currently has a higher attach rate.  Though you just recently linked to Metacritic with Forza 4 saying that's the best.  So which is it?  Does Metacritic scores determine the best game or does attach rate?  Are you going to spin your answer again within the next few pages?

hmmm?  thats an odd thing to say.

You are comparing a last gen title (with years of development) to a current gen title where developers are feeling their way.

They are comparing last gen titles to a last gen title.  GT6 fall short again... thats how it has been for GT titles in the last gen hasnt it.  Better luck with GT7.  Keep your chin up.

Forza4 > GT5 and GT6 on meta... best title on last gen consoles confrimed.  Well done Turn 10.

This gen is yet to be decided.

Why do people keep doing this?  It's so mind-numbingly meaningless to compare Metascores in "update" genres like this over a span of years.  Gran Turismo 5 has a higher Meta than Gran Turismo 6, yet nearly every critic will tell you that GT6 is the superior game.  Is it better than Forza 4?  I have no idea but Metacritic is worthless for determining that unless the games release in the same time-frame.

And yet people still do it.  All hail the epeen, I suppose.  At least that's better than people actually thinking that a higher Metascore is an absolute scale of overall quality.

I can't believe it. With all that cloud computing talk, 600% more this and that, next gen hype hype hype and it couldn't even outscore a last gen title on outdated hardware. Plus the loopholes and excuses never seem to end. Oh FZ still is the best last gen or Forza 5 is incomplete. Is it GT's fault that Turn 10 made an incomplete product? Nope, that's on Turn 10. They dropped the ball and the reviews show it. Now Forza is losing in sales and reviews. Microsoft better start that annual bundling process again or it's going to be a very bumpy ride for Forza this gen.

Its not loosing any sales its attachment ratio is miles better then GT6 which is loosing a lot of sales.

Attachment ratio? Really? What does that have to do with anything? Do you live on a farm? Because you seem to be grasping at straws.

Isn't that the point of this thread? We're aruging over 1 point of metacritic difference over two disappointing games.

I was going to post a response arguing with you. But no, that's a fair point.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Funny thing the biggest complain that GT6 does nothing new is totally applicable to Forza 5

playing F5 it feels totally like F4 just with a hell of a lot less content and MT and DLC being showed down your throat every where you go. Even worse they some how screwed up the physics, they are worse then F4. Cars are to floaty and don't feel like they are really connected to the road.

But it does look better thought, so i guess all the reviews got wet for F5 based on that.  Or as likely we all know MS is good at getting reviews.

Ohh and they are way different games.

Speaking the truth is grasping at straws now LOL.  I'm just speaking the truth which some people can't handle like yourself.  The fact remains that Forza 5 has a much higher attachment ration then GT6 and GT6 is selling a lot less then GT5.

I never said it wasn't true. I never even hinted that it wasn't. But, you're trying to tell us that attachment rate matters and it doesn't.  It tells us nothing about the quality of the game and it tells us nothing about the sales of the game.

The reason I brought up attachment ratio is to proof that Forza is not loosing any sales.  Forza 5 the lowest rated game in the frachise but it still has a very high attchment ratio.  And if you look at attchment ratio its currently doing better then any previous Forza game.

Please don't be serious.  Attach ratio at launch is always going to be through the roof, both for individual games and for consoles in general.  That goes down as units sold goes up.  Early adopters have never been directly representative of the extended installed base.  That's not a comparison that holds any value.

Using launch console attach rate proves nothing at all, F5 attach rate will drop like a rock in th efollowing moths. So the attach rates are pointless.

I can tell you as a F5 owner, it sales will not last long.  Ill get nowhere the type of long term sales GT enjoys.

Having a high attachment ration doesn't tell you that the game is selling good are you serious or are you blind.
