I'll tell ya what. I used to worry about the Wii U being underpowered and that may very well be the case. All I know is that I've been playing Forza Horizon for the last couple of hours and Beyond Two Souls for a few weeks. The amount of detail in these two games is staggering. Perhaps if I put up a screen shot and scrutinized it, I'd notice the flaws but with the games running, they are beautiful. This is running on 2005-2006 consoles. All signs point to the Wii U being more powerful than the PS3/360 so if a studio puts the kind of effort behind Wii U games that companies like Turn 10, Quantic Dream, Naughty Dog, or Santa Monica did with other 7th gen consoles, the Wii U will have some great looking titles.
Keep the good games coming and Wii U will be fine.

I fully believe that its very ambitious and pre-mature to call the Wii-U a "failure" and people will just have to wait patently for the games to start rolling in. In three years the Wii-U will have hit its stride and Wii-U owners will have nothing to worry about. Everyone! Stop being with all the bullshit negativity and just wait for things to get better. |

That is a pretty large blunder. Now that the other 2 are out and rocking more power and will gain momentum, it has less chance of picking up. If it failed then, it will fail for sure now.
The PS3 was not a huge disaster. It sold little due to the HUGE price tag which slowly came down. The WiiU has no excuses like that.
We don't want Wii U to fail, kid. We simply...need it to...do you understand?
I think we can all agree that these sorts of threads are definitely not doomed.

Which isn't of much use to you, if none of the online games you'd normally play don't release on Wii U or have such a low userbase that online play simply has to be a lag fest. Thus you don't play third party online games and are once again left with...oh yeah Nintendo games.

I wonder which one we get more of-- Threads from desperate people trying to convince us that the Wii U is doomed or desperate threads trying to convince us that it's not doomed?
Kinda off topic but I think the Wii U should have launched next year. They needed it last year because the Wii was so outdated but Nintendo always launches late.
Nes--no competition really so....yeah.
Super Nes--launched two years after the competition.
N64--launched a year after the competition.
Gamecube--launched a year after PS2 (same time as Xbox, though)
Wii--launched a year after Xbox 360 (same time as PS3, though)
Nintendo NEVER launches first. They sit back and see what everybody else is committed to and what does/doesn't work and then they come and shake things up (with the exception of the Gamecube which shook up nothing).
Sorry, but Nintendo has been thinking about releasing thesuccessor for about a year now. The performance of the wii u would influence Nintendo on when though. On top of that, you say you dont get involved but what do you call this
