SM3DW and MK8 both look like true next-gen titles to me. I can't wait to play Mario this Christmas, and Kart in the spring. And I wasn't really pumped for Kart until it was revealed... it's just so damn pretty.

People can't see difference between MK8 and MKWii
But in the meanwhile, Crysis in 2007 was "ok" and "next gen" launch games in turn are amazing lol

I'm not seeing it. Graphical advances haven't done anything for me since Sunshine, and the gameplay looks unchanged to me.
People get so excited over a new item or character. It takes them a few days to add at most.

Glider
underwater driving
hoovercraft
are just some things that MKWii didnt have
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing

And that gets you excited enough to put down another $60?

They also have all new tracks, and a new vehicle type. The anti-grav sections alone are enough to warent purchase as it will allow for track designs that were impossible before.
So:
Improved Graphics
Underwater Driving
Glider
Anti-grav Hovercraft sections
Probably 16 new tracks and 16 remade tracks
New vehicle type
New Multiplayer modes (presumably)
Perhaps expanded roster
Definitely worth 60 bucks to me

umm yes?
and I haven't even mentioned driving upside down or sideways
If people can buy new CoD's, BF's, Fifa, Maddenor Asscreed every one or two years I sure as hell can buy a new Mario Kart every four or five years for my homeconsoles.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing

The graphics are really pretty but what I loved from the trailer they've shown is that the new tracks look so much fun! My favorite was the airport track.
