Forums - Nintendo - Zelda U!? No its Hyrule Warriors! It Looks Amazing! OMG!!!

The series that this is a re-skin of didn't interest me to begin with so why would assets from Skyward Sword & a girl Link make it interesting? This seems like a cash grab on the Zelda name when it's really just a different series re-skined to look like a Zelda game. This just buys Nintendo some time to work on the real Zelda which people wanted this year, but it isn't ready yet. To me Hyrule Warriors feels more like Links Crossbow training then a real Zelda.

The background and foliage could have been more refined but wuteva. They'll probably fix it before release.

and thats bad because of...

people want to see Link, and i think a Moshou game fits perfectly for a inbetween BIG Zelda games

Da he'll is this?

While I'm all for Nintendo getting into a new genre, the graphics and gameplay we'll looks mediocre!

Because people wanted the real Zelda in 2014, but this pretty much shows it's not going to be out for another 23 months in November 2015.  The graphic engine & AI also make me question just how interestin Hyrule Warriors will be on a technical level.  There is also the danger of putting people off with an "Other Z" type game & creating a backlash that hurts the main brand.

Not to mention that Nintendo is pretty good about controlling the quality of third-party games based on their franchises.

Do you have any precedent for your asumptions or are just that?did Crossbow thingy hurt the brand even if it was the biggest cash in ever? Hell No.

People want Zelda now! but you cant do that. you cant give people what they want always because eventually they will get fed up . this is not fanservice. well it is actually!!!

and a cheap one i must say...but who cares! its a hackn slash on the Zelda universe and you control Link kicking asses left and right. AWE SOME!

A Dynasty Warriors clone, Nintendo sure as hell doesn't know what they are doing if they hope this will help to turn the wii U around, they should be cloning popular genera of games not those that are in decline.

Yes, they should've stuck with the zelda cod game they were originally planning.

Links Crossbow training was essentially a free game, it came with the Wii Zapper for $20, no one was posting on twitter "OMG, I'm going to buy a Wii for Crossbow Link!" people knew what it was, but people are saying that they are going to buy a Wii U for Hyrule Warriors because they think it's a real Zelda game.  This could be a big problem if the game isn't of high quality when it releases, like so many expect it to be.

thing is everybody saw a Zelda game that was pretty crappy with close to 2h of content and cheap Twilight princess-esque graphics that was basically free because no one in their right mind would buy it and THAT still didnt hurt the brand name a little bit. hell even Skyward seems to have hurt the brand more than the crappiest Zelda game product/whatever/minigame ever (which is crosbow training)

i dont see how this game having poor reception is going to hurt Zelda brand. in fact that would reinvigorate peoples wish of a fullscale epic Zelda...ey maybe is just that!!! wise Nintendo!
