They say that because they want Gran Turismo 6 on ps4,but will it sell better on ps4 with a such small install base?



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

I just wanted to know if you believed that somehow digital sales were going to push the first week sales of GT6 to something close to GT5's first week of sale. It seems it is not the case so all things considered (even including digital sales) GT6 is underperforming compared to GT5. It's true in pure number of units sold and even truer in sales relative to userbase.

It might have gone different if it was delayed to March 2014 or soemthing. Away from all the holiday and next gen buzz stealing its thunder.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

and Gaikai is going to the ps4, the PSVita, and to tablets so which GT will go on Gaikai? why would it matter is the sales are front loaded or Not; when your Online network store can sell the software, hell they can get rental service out of the game on top of the software sales now. GT6 may have a greater chance to outsell GT5 or any GT before it, trying to say or implying there is no way for that to happen with only 1 week of data , and incomplete data at that is silly to try to say that outlook is grim.

I guess some forget Sony blitzed the media leading up to GT5, it was their only major relaese that could stem xbox from taking more and more % of the Euro market.  Especially Uk the only place 360 beat out ps3, hell GT5 had midnight release in Uk.

the only midnight relases GT6 got was PSN.

Hey, just going with what we know. It could have legs and it could not. But you seriosuly are putting waaaaaay to much stock in its potential digital sales. It seems like it is all thats keeping you from loosing your sh&t.

Just saying to CONSIDER the real world factors at play here. Generation in decline, less marketing, less incentive to upgrade from GT5.....sometimes these things happen.

This game will still profit. You will still enjoy the crap out of this game. Sales trends has NO impact on those things. This isn't a big deal, just let it go.

And this is not even a spin-off, prequel or something like that. This is a full and complete main-title that sold so poor.

Sounds like Damage Control to me.

I'll just see how things go. I think GT6 and Mario3dworld are a bit too early into their sales cycles for me to decide if I would consider them flops or disappointments.

A true flop though, I would say is something like FUSE. That managed to break both its legs before the race even began. It was a true Floposaurusrex. If we put Flops into their own ecosystem it would eat GT6 and SM3DW for breakfast.
