i dont really blame turn 10. they only have 2 years to make a game. if MS acted like sony does with PP and gave Turn 10 more time than just 2 years to build the game then they would have more time and could possibly add these effects.

How about saying : NO we don't want to release an unfinished product that can't keep up with the competitor in every area we would wish for?

PD is doing it with Gran Turismo - Sony is surely asking them "Hey how far are you?Is it ready to get released?"
ES is doing it with DriveClub > Hey we can't make it to launch but we guarantee you an infinitely superior product in 3-4 months after that.
BÄM DriveClub has EVERYTHING - If they wanted they could have probably turned the game into a SimRacer and be Number1 there what wouldn't make sense obviously cause Sony already has GT.They needed an untouched in quality Arcade Racer
Turn10 should talk with Microsoft and make them understand this isn't wonderland.

Calling yourself definitive Racer and having no night cycles and weather is just delusional.
Im pretty sure those poor guys at the GT Academy learning how 2 get pro drivers in RL would have rather joined the Forza Academy > Only driving with good weather and on day!

How would it be you don't release 17 Games in one Gen....with no real upgrades in other aspects than unneeded aspects.
Take your time and get the best possible product without lying and trying to fool the customer?
PD is wasting time on PhotoMode and Replays too but at the same time they have weather,day/night cycles and even some Space crap now.
They at Turn10 know anyway they will never touch the Gran Turismo sales even if they pump them out 3 times as fast.
Rather up the quality of EVERYTHING a simulator needs aka the Genre they want to be instead of improving only the 3 aspects that will bring you good scores.
And I don't give Turn10 the fault at all but for maybe not forcing microsoft to give them more time.It isn't as Microsoft has any options.
On the other side i give Microsoft the fault for releasing unfinshed products and knowingly trying to market them as the best Sim Racer with untouched quality there is while they obviously aren't.

Funny because the first Forza's have night races.

Drive Club is 30 FPS.

The end.

GT6 has downgraded graphics even from GT5 and looks very last gen.

Probably just a case that first next gen iterations will be barebones, and later ones will add more. Also this is a launch title. If GT7 has more stuff, well they still had more time.

With only 14 tracks you would think night and weather is essential to keep the game interesting.

How are the physics exactly different at night? I thought they already had the whole temperature model for tires so what is holding it back? I guess he means they got themselves stuck with the baked lighting and shadows.
You know if you make a render engine that doesn't rely on all pre baked assets it takes a lot less time to make a track.

This doesn't look good for Forza 6, if they need that much effort per track. Forza 6 back to 26 tracks, Forza 7 back down to 14 tracks with night/weather? Or will that have to wait until next gen.

Little upgraded graphics.

no one blames Turn 10.

not every developer can be as awesome at making racers as Evolution Studios or Slightly Mad Studios...

This a pretty poor excuse. I don't know why they couldn't just hire a small team, or devote a few people on their existing team, to just focus on adding this to their engine. I'm under the impression that Turn 10 isn't a small team. Am I wrong about that?

Of course, I'm more interested in someone asking them (which won't happen) what is up with the relatively large graphics downgrade from E3. Though, I'm sure if anyone even asked it, Turn 10 wouldn't answer it.

Turn 10 is a big team... over 300 guys working.

Forza 5 runs on 7 year newer hardware. The end.

GT6 looking like last gen, running on last gen hardware, what magic is this. And what downgraded graphics exactly? So far I've seen less shimmer on the powerlines due to higher res, no more pop in on London track, better dirt/smoke effects, but no downgrades. If you're referring to the motion blur, that's in replay mode.
