No company could have ever made such a mistake like this on purpose. That is why I have come to the conclusion that Nintendo have become the trolls of the gaming industry... on purpose.

They should've shown trailers. Reggie really didn't need to be there at all - he added zero to the show. He wouldn't even tease a new game. It's like what are you doing? Even if you aren't making a new Metroid - don't deny it- get people talking. The time it took him to make that awkward interview and showing off cranky Kong (which could've been a cool easter egg) could've been used to show new trailers for SM3DW, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, Zelda, Wii U, etc.

How cool would it have been to discover for yourself that Cranky Kong was a playable character?

I wonder where they're going to go next. Hopfully we get a Direct blow out, but things need to be changed internally for Nintendo and the way they operate. It's just not working.

I literally would have preferred a 3D DK game like DK64 than another 2D platformer. Or at the very least, Retro should have used a completely new engine for TF, this one just looks too much like the Wii game in HD.
