Yeah, I really like him. There's a lot of Nintendo fans on YT, who love to make excuses and damage control, but he's straight with his audience. Plus, I like seeing people be critical of Nintendo. He also has a great speaking voice and looks like Will Smith.

Bingo. I was in the "Nintendo should not show DK" crowd, but that was with me assuming that everyone else was bringing their A game. They really weren't. I read some forum reactions elsewhere, and they weren't favorable. What would have been bad had Nintendo embarrassed themselves compared to others, and they didn't.

It's ok OP. I know that feel. They are clueless, still blind by the Wii sucess, and that's sad.
This is not about how much the others show, or if it's a lame award. This is about Nintendo and a poorly presentation. This is just a missed oportunity, and a good one to shine above the others with something as simple as a new Smash trailer.

This discussion is borderline retarded. Nintendo is the only company out there doing what they do right now. Everyone else is doing games so similar that they all fill the same exact niches on the other two consoles where talking heads argue over which one displays more anti-aliased blood splatter and at what resolution.

Let's complain more about Donkey Kong and get back to arguing whether Call of Duty: Ghosts, Killzone or Battlefield 4 has the most realistic bullet holes.

VGX is so irrelevent and crap I really don't get the big deal what gets shown there, honestly if I was a pub/dev I would stay clear, I don't even feel like it's free advertising unless it's something that realllllly appeals to that frat boy audience.

When viewers dropped like rock after a hour I'm sure nintendo was thinking we could made our sales double.

 

you say miss opportunity but every opportunity doesn't reflect in the right decision. This show didn't even have Sony. What does that tell you? Nobody Internet gamers cared about the show and most left less than half way through.
