I know there are threads about this, but.... DONKEY KONG?!

I can understand that they didn't show Zelda, but anything besides Donkey Kong would have been better. Why didn't they show Mario Kart, or Yarn Yoshi? I think someone needs to replace Reggie, if this was his idea. Don't fire him though, because we need him to stay long enough for Sakuri to troll us and put him in Smash Bros. as a trophy.

I'm pretty sure this was iwata's idea, just like DK game. Reggie is just a puppet. We are now dissapointed, just like they will be when they see holiday sales. Yeah, but let's ignore the Wii success and announce shit nobody cares rather than Zelda/Metroid/3DMario like the Wii announcement that everybody was hyping, let's 2d the 3D mario series because there aren't other 2d mario options on the console, let's delay games.

people need to understand that internet is not the real world

I still dont kno why people expected anything else, i mean its been soooo Heavily hinted it was dk but noooooooo! Everybody expect Zelda or a new SSB trailer.

The really disappointing part is when he teased Metroid and Zelda, and then nothing came after that.

Donkey Kong is a well good game and deserves the attention. Stop treating it with such little respect. Remember, Mario wouldn't exist if it weren't for Donkey Kong. I'm glad Nintendo has seemed to bring it back for good. Now bring back F-Zero!

Also, Yoshi is nothing to Donkey Kong

it's a shame that it wasnt something else. but people shouldn't be dissapointed. it's not like nintendo said they were gonna show something amazing. reggie just said he would be there and the internet started the rumours.

This makes no sense. Metroid and a new 3D Mario obviously aren't in a form to show, and people do care about DK. It's just that it isn't a game to show at VGX.

Showing Zelda is the only good point you make in my opinion.

People are pissed because they didn't get a Zelda or Metroid announcement. You all realize these games are going to come eventually right? People are mad simple because of 2 reasons:

1) "Core" gamers will use this to mock Nintendo, which pisses off some Nintendo fans. Which shows just how people take the internet way too seriously, but I digress.

2) With all rumors people simple got too excited, it's your own fault to believe all these rumors and expect too much from Nintendo.

I'm a Nintendo fan, and I understand the reveal was disappointing, but just like the previous E3 people like to take things way out of proportion, I know this because it happened to me with the 3D World announcement, but I learned my lesson.

So basically, people are mad because Nintendo didn't show Zelda, nothing more, nothing less.

P.S VGX is crap so it doesn't really matter.

How do you now that? Koizumi has already hinted a soon announcement of their other project, and we don't know anything about metroid. It could well been in the last levels of development or not even as a concept.
