bundle with a second gamepad for 60 bucks :) (and introduce 2 gamepad mode that way. I mean it already was implemented in the consoles firmware with the big summer update)

That would be cool :)

not that I need another gamepad because I already have 2  but still  for 60 it would be a steal :)

I don't believe they could sell MK8 + Gamepad for $60, they losing too much money as it is selling Wii Us. Also, I thought the "big summer update" never actually happened?

A bundle is an excellent idea, will significantly enhance the hardware boost.

wasn't there a rumour that the game would be the first one to be bundled with an actual gamepad because it enables 6 people offline multiplayer ? 4 on screen, 2 on gamepads.

Probably, as I'm sure there are rumors for everything. Though iirc, the only way 2 gamepads can be used at the same time is if they're only showing 2D images. Also, Nintendo hasn't even said anything about MK8 allowing 5 people in local multiplayer. That should be a no brainer, which is why I'm worried Nintendo wont implement this feature.

Don't kill my off-tv multiplayer dream.
I don't remember hearing anything about 2D images though, just that it can support 2 gamepads.
6 person offline multiplayer might be pushing it I think though.

I don't like the wii wheel so no.

+ the wii-u game pad has a gyro in it. Advertise gamepad functionality.

The statement in bold kind of renders any other discussion pointless.

yes, but not with wii wheel.

im gonna say wii wheel, not cause i like it i think its dumb, BUT and i know some people are not gonna want to believe this. The WIi wheel helped push Mario Kart for Wii to those crazy heights. Ive seen a few people buy a whole other copy of MKWii just for the damn wheel. Also if the gamepad doesnt have any specials functions (and from what ive seen so far it wont) there is no point wasting time pushing that feature especially when only one person will be able to use it at a time. Matter of fact Ninty will do best not to bring attention to that.

I'm not! Infact I'm hoping Nintendo's next system will be able to support 4+ gamepads, making it the ultimate local multiplayer machine!

It should be bundled with the Gamepad Wheel. You know, a wheel that you attach to your gamepad.

So they should bundle it with the gamepad, causing the total price to be $100+ and likely losing money on each game sold? Plus as of now the Wii U only supports 1 gamepad, so we'd be paying extra money for useless hardware.
