Probably, as I'm sure there are rumors for everything. Though iirc, the only way 2 gamepads can be used at the same time is if they're only showing 2D images. Also, Nintendo hasn't even said anything about MK8 allowing 5 people in local multiplayer. That should be a no brainer, which is why I'm worried Nintendo wont implement this feature. |

I don't remember hearing anything about 2D images though, just that it can support 2 gamepads.
6 person offline multiplayer might be pushing it I think though.

I'm not! Infact I'm hoping Nintendo's next system will be able to support 4+ gamepads, making it the ultimate local multiplayer machine!
