I'm sure we'll see what Nintendo decides to do here soon enough, but I wanna know what you all think they should do! I personally don't care either way, but I feel that if they bundle the Wii Wheel in, they're just further sending the message that not even Nintendo themselves have much use for the gamepad.

Retail it standalone, demonstrate every control method possible in advertisements.

I don't like the wii wheel so no.

+ the wii-u game pad has a gyro in it. Advertise gamepad functionality.

Gamepad at this point... Plus, who the tits actually prefers the wiiwheel over any other control scheme??

Also it will confuse people to think Mario Kart 8 will work with the wii

I'd rather have 5 dollars off the price. Or 1 dollar off the price whatever it costs, or something else free, like bonus costumes instead of a piece of plastic.

If you're going to come up with arbitrary rules that they must bundle it with the wii-wheel and it must be free, but there's no other alternatives. Then yes I guess it's selfish. But no ones sticking a gun to their head telling them they have to do it that way.

that and I think the wii-u's still trying to shed the idea that it's just wii hd.

Wii Wheel is/was free with MKWii, so why would that be any different now? And I believe the issue Wii U is trying to shed is the idea that the gamepad is just a Wii add-on.

You obviously never played MKWii online.

Also, what I forgot to mention in the OP is the problem with advertising the gamepad. There's only one gamepad, yet Mario Kart is a multiplayer focused game. It actually hurts local multiplayer, as whoever has the gamepad has an advantage over the other players.
