Shipments... why not just go all the way and use Nintendo's full FY numbers at the end of March? Jan-Dec is not a fiscal period.

Ah, you're using shipped numbers, not sold? Very different and I am pretty sure this thread is about sold numbers and not shipped. There was obviously still a lot of 3DS's on store shelves from december 2012 to january 2013 meaning that they probably shipped a bit less then they sold. But I would be willing to take the original bet (how much it sold, not how much it shipped). 


Given that we need exact numbers and not numbers that will be adjusted down the track, we have no choice but to.

If 3DS is ever going to top 15 million shipped in a fiscal year, this has pretty much got to be the year I think.

well if numbers get adjusted it would be more realistically upwards but in japan. But the japan numbers are reliable. I know amazon is really tiny in japan,but having 10 different 3ds models on the top 100 Chart is still amazing in my opinion

We'll get the numbers at the end of January 2014 so February to April is better.
