Forums - Gaming - Why are some Sony fans so opposed to 3DS development?

Seeing how Sony best games are all on consoles not psp, this is a pretty pointless thread op.
Personally id prefer they killed their handheld and poured all resources into the PS4.

Nin fanboys that don't want to acknowledge reality, industry is seeing the writing on the walls nin is irrelevant and wiiu sales whole heartedly support that.

They (Nintendo in this case) would still want to invest and the sort considering they still need to appeal to the market. If the market doesn't get what it wants, which is quality and quantity, then the market stops buying. This competition argument is practically a dead end.

If there was no competition 3DS would still be costin 249.99, cause that would be the only gaming device available... Also if there wasn't PSP it probably wouldn't have an analog stick... And you know that on the 4DS or whatever it will be called there will be a second analog stick and more stuff cause Nintendo will try to top their competitors.

Again, the consumers had a say in all of that. Especially in the price drop. After all, the Vita wasn't even out when the 3DS' price was dropped from 250$ to 170$. It was just because no one was buying it, so Nintendo responded.

Yes people wanted MS and Sony ips and they went out and got their consoles in record numbers you are right.

Problem lies in the fact no one is buying Nintendos console.

But many agree they would buy their games.

You know the GBA was held back several years because Nintendo had no need to launch a new system right? So GBA actually sums up why competition is needed. PSP wasn't a sudden boom forwards in handheld tech, Nintendo just had no reason to progress whilst they had 95% marketshare.

I dunno. Third party releases tend to perform better on Vita than they do on the 3DS despite the much bigger userbase.

Generally people who own Nintendo consoles buy Nintendo games and nothing else.

Sony should drop the Vita for 3rd party support on the 3DS, due to the 3DS actually being successful.

Nintendo should drop the Wii U for 3rd party support for the Ps4, due to the Ps4 actually being successful.
