Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Saw a Wii U in person for the first time yeserday and didn't even know it was a Wii U

Just decided to analyze console pictures for the 1st time and I see the problem. unlike every other game system. Nintendo has the gamepad as the highlighted thing in the official pictures. the console design I'm guessing was an after thought as it does look very similar to the wii, just curvier. I owned a wii myself.

I can see a lot of people who wasn't fanatically interested in it confusing it with a wii.

I was never interested in a PS4 but I know what it looks like......it's all in the marketing.

so they were playing a Wiiu game which features the Mii characters but no one around the Wii-u was holding the Gamepad.... ooo.... I smell.... something that comes from a bull... I'm bracing myself for a wall of obscenities for pointing this out tho.

Hmm...

Are there any Nintendo Land games that don't require the Gamepad?
