Wii U is just like other Nintendo consoles since the N64. It has poor third party support from developers and it relies on a handful of its top first party series like Mario Bros/World, Zelda, Mario Kart and Smash Bros to sell console systems.

With that said, if you're looking for someone to tell you to stay then it looks like you're sol. |
I have no hate towards Sony and MS consoles, I merely stated that the current games on PS4 and Xbone look like garbage. I'm not denying that in the future they both won't have fantastic titles, they just don't at the moment. In all fairness, it took Wii U over a year to get just a handful of worthwhile games. I certainly don't think Wii U is the "best console ever conceived". In fact up until very recently when they dropped the price and brought out Mario 3D World, I have been one of its harshest critics.
And also, I have owned an Xbox 360 since 2005, and have probably played the Gears franchise more than any other this generation, and while I don't own a PS2, I have played it several times at friends' houses and have enjoyed it immensely. I think it has a really great library.. So it's a little presumptuous on your part to claim I hate Sony and MS.

That's what the sales tell us, and the fact many people like me, bought the wii and played about 5 games on it and then left it to collect dust. Which by the way never happened to me with the n64 and gamecube (at least not to the point of not playing the console for a year), and the same is happening with the wiiU. |
Yes I feel the same. Wii was something worth to try - I bought into the Wii like everybody else, played about 5 games and then left it to collect dust while I played a lot more games for my 360 and PS3. Probably used the Wii 10 times less than the other systems in the generation.
At least I like gaming, so if Wii U gets a few more killer games and/or gets cheap enough I'll buy it... but for the more casual buyer they may not feel like getting another Wii is worth it, especially for $300.

Have you even played many PS4 games? I mean, none of the titles that are out now are going to be among the best games on the platforms ever, but generally they look gorgeous nonetheless.
You must realize that the PS4 has more 80+ rated games than the Wii U and One combined?
If PS4 games in launch week are garbage, I don't know what you'd call Wii U games for the whole year.

The title says acceptance, but it reads a lot more like denial. The Wii U has to do a lot better before it reaches Gamecube levels, never mind N64.

Are you sure you looked properly? Wii U has more than PS4 and Xbone combined.

Comparing PS2 library with the Wii's should be considered a sin. |
Thanks for basically proving Metallicube's point. Once the PS2 is brought up, it's time to compare the number of shovelware titles on each system, then discount the PS2's shovelware just because?
Shovelware is shovelware, once you have enough of it in your platform's game library, it's there. The entire point Metallicube was making is that the shovelware doesn't make the good games worse. They're still there as well, and that's all that matters. Shovelware is just a byproduct of the most popular system of the generation.
If you look at exclusives, the Wii has a great library. And since when are AAA the yardstick for quality games?

No, because PS2 library was about 50% shovelware 50% quality whereas Wii library was 90% shovelware and 10% quality

Yes, my bad :(.
The "Top Wii U Games" table wasn't the right thing to look at.
