Forums - Gaming - Is Sony actively sabotaging the Vita through PS+?

If the purpose of this thread is to make me want a Vita, Mission Accomplished!

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

First world problems.

4 ≈ One

Well, I bought Uncharted and Gravity Rush before they reached Plus. I wouldn't buy Soul Sacrifice anyway because they announced Delta and I'm waiting for it. Now I can have both!

Vita´s game library is so much more interesting in Japan...
if at least in the west we could have all those games...

For those users with PS+ (and if you have a PS4, it is mandatory) the waiting for a price drop in a game was converted to waiting to be free on PS +

Right now, almost every first party was offered as free. I'm sure Killzone mercenary will be offered in January ~ March.

It appears so. Not only due to the PS+ but if you look at their (lack of) support for the platform it really appears that they just want to left it behind and forget that it existed.

This the lack of support you speak of? Advertising is one thing, but Vita's game selection is vast and varied and riddled with potentially great titles.

Do you know what most of those games have in common.. that they are 3rd party games.

I think will purchase a vita one day I guess but it will be mostly for some of the 3rd party games that interest me  (persona, Ys, Final fantasy).

I didn't said the machine doesn't have good games, but in my opinion Sony is not really helping much. I do think they probably would prefer to move on. Didn't they even said recently in an statement that the Ps3 & ps4 will be their focus in terms of new software?

I could see someone arguing it is hurting game sales because so many are free on PS+, but I do not see how it hurts system sales. If anything PS+ makes me think "Well, if the system essentially comes with a dozen games for $2 a month (I got PS+ on sale admittedly) then makes the $200 system and $80 memory card not look so bad."
