Forums - General - US planes challenge China air zone

Maybe it's because I'm more of a Japanophile, but I support Japan in the dispute. If China does someday take over the U.S., I guess it's a good thing that I'm learning Mandarin already, as I'll have a head start.

At least you are honest.

China will not own the US. Even if they own the economy (because of debt) a state is sovereign. Its not up for sale.

I think both the USA and Japan should leave our islands alone. It's as easy as that.

And to whomever said that South Korea is fed up with China should do a reality check. China and South Korea are great friends, we treat each other as brothers.

"Our"? I thought the islands properly belonged to Taiwan (as said by a different poster above).

South Korea is claiming ownership of them now?

That's it, I declare asian warfare.

Wouldn't it be awesome if a big Alien Mothership start attacking both America and China?

If I were Putin, I'd exploit the situation and occupy those islands myself, telling them: look, you're never going to settle this, and, as a sidenote, I own more nukes than you two put together. Deal?

China has $1.3 trillion worth of foreign currency. If china want then they can cripple US economy (at the same time taking themselves out). I guess this will settle soon and everything will go back to normal.

True, they could, but in doing so they would effectively end trade relations with America which would pull vast amounts of foreign trade, let alone that crippling the american economy would set everyone back by decades.

It's really not viable for leverage.

and cripple their own economy in turn.

China really would hurt a lot more then the US in that case.

The US would default but could claim diplomatic reasons for the default, and likely would go about per normal mostly otherwise.  Meanwhile China gets shut out of basically all the western markets except Australia.  (Not west, but cosndiered part of the west.)

In the long run, such a move might actually benefit the US.  While it'd fuck over china... they've cobbled togetehr a decent secondary block, but the big difference is, those countries aren't going to shut out the US and EU.

This, I'm really starting to get annoyed with how China is behaving towards other Asian countries. No wonder Japan, S. Korea, Vietnam, etc..... are fed up with China.

South Korea is fed up with China? Usually they have quarrels with North Korea and Japan. Vietnam is fed up with China? Possible, but I heard not much.
