Yes some will be big too, but you cant just own a nintendo console if you're a gamer ( the same way you should own a nintendo console) because you would miss the most part of the generation. (i dont know for microsoft considering what they did with 360 but you'll have to own a sony console at least for all the sony exclusive games and all the games that are not on Wii U )
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
PS4: 17m XB1: 10m WiiU: 10m Vita: 10m

Let's not go into what defines "gamer" by what systems they own.
People have different tastes.

They cant be doing the same thing because the console just launched 10 days ago while the Wii U has been around a year. Let come back in a year when Sony and 3rd parties have time to establish a library like the Wii U then you can make that judgement. |
Yes, you sony guys can. Its called defending a coroporation and attacking another, which is clearly the case here (With your payola comment that holds no backing). Pointless if you ask me since corporations don't put emotional investement into their consumers but hey, thats just me. :) Just accept that the Wii U can have positive news and move on. Not difficult.

No. Some Vita fans already stated that it has a better and larger library than 3DS. And GameCube had good third party support. Almost every big mutiplat had a GC version. And finally, Wii did't have almost none of the big third party games, yet it sold more than any other console, even than PS3 with all the big thrid party support and all Sony excluisves. |
Yes, my best nintendo console, too bad lucasart is dead, they wanted ta release rogue leader sequel on Wii U.
Dont forget the Wii had a very good third party support in term of exclusives, but you know the reason why it sold more than PS3 and 360, wii had the casual market, that's all, Wii U wont reproduce that, gamepad is too complicated to sell to casual gamers who dont see the purpose of buying a next gen console

I consider myself a gamer and I won't get a PS4! You don't need to own every console and play every game to be one. And you definitely don't have to play Sony exclusives to be a "gamer".
I will gladly miss the Sony exclusives, they are good don't get me wrong but they are a tad overrated.

I think you missed the point of my comment. The Wii U by next year will have available those games that you commented, besides Fire Emblem x SMT, Yarn Yoshi, New super mario bros U, new super luigi u, pikmin 3, super mario 3d world, lego city, zelda wind waker HD, the wonderful 101, Wii sports club ... Is not like all the games released in this year are just going to disappear. Nor nintendo will stop making games. I would expect at the very least 5 more anouncements from them in the upcoming months that are going to be released in 2014.
The new consoles have a lot of catching to do before they are even close to the Wii U in terms of quality games. |
Sorry.. misread your post. Thought you meant lineup for next year.
Still, the PS4/Xbox One have only just launched so of course the lineup is not going to be as good as the Wii U. Its had a good 12 month headstart in building its library. Honestly though, it's a bit early calling judgement calls on these kinda things..
And calling the Wii U library the best in quality is pretty much all subjective. All next gen consoles will have great games on them over the next few years, it just depends on what you like.

I'm not predicting success for the console, i'm predicting it will be a console to own in the generation.
But the main console to own will be the PS4, like the PS2 |
you are missing the point I am making here. Wii sold 100million units. Lots of people on these forums have said the WIi is their second choice (i.e. complementary console) mainly for Nintendo games. Not bad for something they consider to be complementary. Based on this I could only conclude sucess for Wii U.
Most people on here are either Sony fans or Micrososft fans. They do not buy the competitiors console because its lke committing treason. Therefore if the Nintendo console is not seen as competition and it becomes a second choice console for the supposed top two dogs then suddenly you got the sum of two sides wanting the third device as a second option. That may be 10%-50% of the owners of the other two systems. We really done know only time will tell.
| Train wreck said: Don't know why people are arguing with folks over the wii U getting positive news, just let them bask in the glow and have them overhype this news. If consumers cared about the Wii U they would have bought it in droves over the course of this prior year. Its not like they don't know new Nintendo games are coming. I'm guessing the payola that Nintendo sent out to the multiple publications this past week are for former Wii owners who have neglected the system (and even after the press will continue to do so) to take a second look. |
You are one of the most comically anti-Nintendo guys on this forum.
You literally flock to any remotely positive news and take a huge, huge shit all over them.
I think Ryuzaki and you are secretly best friends
Incredibly low.
