Forums - Microsoft - Is Quantum Break this gen's Gears of War (First REAL Next gen game??)

Only thing silly is what you are saying. The game got good reviews across the board and as I said, the developer him self is saying the game was a success for them and that a sequel is coming.

An 8.3 metacritic average and a few million in sales. Make a list of all the games that scored higher and sold more since 2005. That list will show that you would have be to very generous and say quite a few games were "one of the best" in order to include Alan Wake and at that point the saying "one of the best" kinda loses its meaning. The only way to say that with a straight face is to admit that it's completely subjective. In which case, unlike what you claim, it can be denied that Alan Wake was one of the best games of the generation. Easily.

Ryse may have horrible gameplay but graphically it couldn't be done on PS360.

You think its not and I think it is. No point in talking about it much more. Back to the topic, Quantum Break looks amazing and if the op think its going to the first real next gen then that cool with me.

Is this gens Alan Wake, hyped to hell, then nobody buys it.

From Remedy themselves it has sold more than 3m

@OP  looks great, very excited to see what Remedy and LA Microsoft Studios has done with Quantum Break :)

1. Remedy isn't 1st party.

Microsoft LA Studios is though which is the other face of Quantum Break and why it is an owned Ip by Microsoft.  Quantum Break is being worked on by Remedy AND LA Microsoft Studios.

OP still hasn't seen Driveclub or Shadowfall or Second Son or the Order, but it's okay only Xbox games look next gen to him apparently.

This one is the true first real next gen game.

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

KZ Shadow Fall did what Ridger Racer 5 did on PS2, a launch title showing huge leap compared to their predecessor gen.

That's odd. That's not The Witcher 3.

I bet it's running on a PC and that the final Xbone graphics will be nowhere near that quality.

Remember you read it here first.

Well, in my opinion (based on videos solely) Killzone:SF was the best looking game until Ryse came along and Infamous:SS will probably upstage Ryse in that department only to be "beaten" graphically by QB when it arrives. I just hope it doesn´t come down to only this, that all they hunt for is the next, great, graphical presentation. Let´s see some real content aswell.
