I have no obligation to buy the crappy 3rd party games. I don't care if all third party companies went bankrupt !

Sadly, most of WiiU install base is smaller children that only get 1-3 video games a year. Mostly Mario game, the WiiU will need a lot more then 4 million WiiU consoles sold if they want to get 500K per 3rd party release.

But at the same time, I think the WiiU does attract different customer base that don't own a Xbox or PS and these customers would be interest in the 3rd party offering especially if they came with a lower MSRP.

I have bought several retail games for the Wii U. They have included ZombiU, Assassin's Creed 3, Batman: Arkham City, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and Injustice. The only Nintendo games I've bought for the platform have been Pikmin 3 and Wind Waker HD. This is not counting money I've spent on both 1st and 3rd party eShop and Virtual Console games. So in total, I've blown hundreds of dollars on the first year of 3rd party Wii U software.

If buying five retail games a year is letting third parties down, then maybe they require too much.

We're hardcore WiiU gamer that also posts on these forums thread :) , we're the minority we need the casual gamers to help drive sales.

I don't really think that it's our problem since we do spend our money. It's just that the 1st party game by Nintendo are much better then any 3rd party game. This year alone I bought Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, New Super Luigi U, Wind Waker HD, Wii Party U pre-ordered Mario 3d World. (Nintendo land and SMBU i bought last year).

Only full price 3rd party game was Call of duty Balck Ops 2 last year.

Once I got tired or played most Nintendo game, I bought AC3 & Mass Effect 3 for $29.99 at best-buy and lately Need for Speed: Most Wanted and BAtman: Arkham City for $19.99 each on Amazon. I doubt that they made much money an my 3rd party purchase since they were discounted at best-buy and probably used on amazon.

How does those numbers compare to the other consoles considering the attach rate ? Just curious...

(just as a matter of comparison, people say that Splinter Cell Blacklist sold terrible on WiiU, but the attach rate is similar to every other version: around 0,0065 %, Rayman Legends, on the other hand, sold better on WiiU than on other consoles, so the attach rate is vastly superior)

I bought 2 full price 3rd party games, Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Resident Evil: Revelations.

But is true, I don't buy full price games anymore, I also have Black Ops 2, Arkham City, NFS: Most Wanted, but I bought them all at reduced prices, now I am thinking about Ghosts or ACIV full price (or close to) to support the companies, but I let many games pass now as the DLC, the fast that they come down in price and my lack of time makes me rethink each purchase twice or more times.
