Forums - Nintendo - WiiU - 3rd Party sales - first week of sale.

^ That´s a good idea.
Although i would offer something different: a GC or Dremacast game on the VC; Buy a 3rd party game, register it and download any 1st/2nd party game for half the price or simply get it for free.

The ps4 got the late ports this time and they weren't exactly master pieces with a few technical problems yet they sold quite a bunch. The Wii U didn't got a lot of 3rd party games this holidays, but the ones it got were among the best (I'm looking specifically at COD, AC4 and Batman). Also, Nintendo fans cried for years for games like Assasin's creed or a COD with HD graphics on the Wii and now that they have them nobody is even looking at them.

Call of Duty: Ghosts has already sold better on the PS4 and Wii U in the UK and the PS4 isn't out for another week yet...

They are just some god awful sales for 3rd party games. Nintendo gamers need to support the 3rd parties more if they want more 3rd party support. If you're happy with Nintendo's output (which when they get their main stuff out next year, I will be) that's great, but it's clear that the multi format games and non-Nintendo stuff currently just has no market at all.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I think Nintendo should quietly build a "Direct Buyers Club" program to spur the sales of non-family oriented Nintendo games.

Just some cool incentives they could easily offer for example:

Buy any one of

Batman: Arkham Origins
Call of Duty: Ghosts
Assassin's Creed IV
Splinter Cell: Blacklist

You receive a limited edition Samus figurine from Best Buy/EB locations. You also get a free downloadable copy of Xenoblade for your Wii U on the eShop.

I think that would start to at least double or triple the low sales of some of these games and it would cost Nintendo fairly little. I think third parties would very much appreciate it.

They could do a promotion like this every year for third party titles, spread the word through the online community and Nintendo Directs.

great idea. Only thing I would take off that list is Batman as it is a worst job than the port that come out at launch. That game deserves to fail. Perhaps replace it with Rayman Legends as that game is well executed.

The problem is not sales. The problem is that 3rd party games so far were not that good in my opinion.

Do Nintendo show sales figures from games that are downloaded?
