94 on Metacritic

Just got my 2DS, Now time to dust off the WiiU!

Man, I mean 93 is alright, don't get me wrong, but 94? That's off the hook, day 1, no doubt

it might go back down :'-(

But as of now the game sits minimum of 92 and most likely at 93. 94 if no more reviews are 90 or under, also has a very very very slim chance of a 95!

As much as I myself don't give a damn what the critics say, this kind of acclaim is exactly what the Wii U needed to sway a lot of hardcore gamers who do place importance on reviews.

Looking good, Nintendo needs a break. They need a achievement system, as much as people say they don't care, a big portion does. That would just add to the system. They can easily do a coin and star system.

Regardless, it's a shit site, easily one of the worst gaming sites out there

I was sort of off put by the fact that this game's engine looked identical to the Mario 3D Land game on 3DS, but the more I see of it, the better it looks. While it still looks like it was made in a similar fashion to 3D Land, that's not necessarily a bad thing as the game was great, and this one looks about 100x better, parciularly with the fun looking new power ups and the multiplayer mode. I think it will be similar to NSMB DS vs NSMB Wii, in that it is similar, but takes the formula and greatly improves and expands upon it. While I will always prefer the oldschool 2D style of Mario games, this looks to be the best 3D Mario game since 64 (and yes 64 was easily better than both Galaxies)

I am now certain this game will be one of my first Wii U games when I pick one up for thanksgiving, along with NSMB U/Luigi U, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and Pikmin 3.
