Nice numbers for the PS4
MS's triple threat seems to be doing well same with next gen Destiny

i would guess a lot of people are waiting for more info and reviews on the games. 

OMG, since E3, I had told myself that I would by my PS4 on Thanksgiving 2014, and I liked Killzone 2 but hated Killzone 3. But now, I am gonna buy it as soon as the console becomes available: killzone Shadow Fall, the touch pad on the DS4, and the "share button" and most importanly my friends that are getting the PS4 at launch is gonna force me to buy it.
I am totally hyped....

I can't say it's a bad week for any of the Big 3. That's worth celebrating at least.

Sorry, just showed up to say that. I don't put much faith in these pre-order numbers anymore.

yeah but i didn't think that so many do that. i really thought that most people pre-order a console with games at the same time. and when they change their mind about a game they would switch the pre-order to another game which wouldn't increase the total number of games.

Just to give a little perspective, the week before it's launch there where 176.466 Wii U launch games preordered. The PS4 has nearly ten times as many launch games preordered with 1.736.712 units, that's crazy.

The Xbox One also has a very high number of 1.321.731 units of preordered launch games two weeks before launch...these launches are going to be huge!

Of course I'm aware of the credibility of the preorder chart and the fact that games that aren't in the list still have preorders, but it's nonetheless a fun comparison.

@criss, I've had my console on preorder since E3 qnd still haven't preordered any games. For one, because I plan to buy them digitally, but even if I didn't....what would be the point? They will have plenty of games in stock at the stores anyway
