Forums - Microsoft - Why Forza Motorsport 5 has fewer cars and tracks than Forza 4

Not a big fan of either track but at least the Top Gear Test track has more layouts but it is pretty boring to drive since its totally flat.  Looking at the final list there is actually one more track I miss that I forgot to mention in a earlier post and that is Road America I would rather have it instead of Road Atlanta despite only having one layout versus the two of Atlanta, its just a much better track.  Also the game is associtated with Top Gear so there is no way they would have dropped that track.  I'm close to finishing the Bucket list achievements in FM4 but even when I'm done with that I will still play it on a somewhat regular basis since there are still tons of titles and badges to unlock plus I will probably try to get a couple of more manufactures to level 50 so far I only have done it with Peugeout.

Where is Montecarlo? I loved to race on that circuit in old F1 games and GT4

You mean the Circuit de Monaco that track was never in a Forza game.  I definetly didn't expect it would to show up in Forza 5.  Also I don't think it ever was high on the wishlist of tracks that haven't been in Forza games before they actually got two of the most requested tracks in the game with Bathurst and Spa.  Yas Marina showed up from nowhere I doubt there where a lot of people requesting it since its releatively new track and not many people know about it.

It's too little tracks but I prefer 200 different cool cars than 1000+ cars of which 200 are Nissan Skylines, 200 Totoya Supras, 200 Mitsubishi Evo's etc.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

Either GT7 will take 20 years to make, or GT7 will have the same.

Glad we don't have 360 cars incuded. That would suck.

The game has been rushed, end  of. Forza 4 released 2 years ago and in that time T10 worked on Horizon with Playground.

14 tracks, no Nurburgring, 2 airfield test tracks and acouple hundred cars? Content is king and Forza 5 is suddenly lacking... Greatly. An extra Year was likely needed.

Its not been rushed. A handful of people helped on Horizon. The other 130 employees started work on Forza 5 2 years ago. They have been involved with Xbox One from day 1. I think its really bad to have older build models in a game like GT5. Its pretty crap actually. Looks terrible and should be taken out.

Cars and tracks will need more detail in this new generation. Id rather have the game now and download more later. Or end up with Gran Turismo scenario. Prologue, special edition, Bog log etc.

Game looks and plays so much better than current gen

The game is rushed to make the console release, period. That GT7 comparison reeks of nothing but desperation.

Really?

GT is a series that uses last generation assests in a game that it looks so out of place on its stupid.

I commend Turn 10 for not cheaping my game with 360 assets.

If it hasnt been rushed then why do we only have 14(!) tracks at launch? For a racing sim thats terrible selnor. You know it and I know it. Especially when 2 of said tracks are airstrip test tracks. 2 Years quite clearly wasnt/isnt long enough.

Its a shell of the game it should be. Its been rushed for launch where it should have had an extra Year. Hell, the game is unplayable without the day 1 patch.

And stop trying to deflect by using Gran Turismo.

"Forza 5 only has 14 tracks and 200 cars" - "Yeah but Gran Turismo...!"... No.

I dont care how bad Gran Turismo is. Stop telling me GTs bad points. That stinks of desperation. The problem here is that they care far, far too much about the visuals and theyre shipping half a game.
