oh cry me a river.

this playing the victim card has been played out to death lately and it has reached a point where its just beyond pathetic. you complain about this "bashing" then you go urge other users to go do it! talk about being a hypocrite! then you increase your hypocrisy by making another thread to do this exact same bashing you are complaining about. marvelous!

before going around complaining about other users take a good look at yourself please.

You forgot a few other ewasons.

1. MS tried to implement draconian DRM schemes and required an every 24 hour check-in to play your games. They have since walked that back under intense pressure from the gaming community and the media.

2. They are selling a technically inferior (well have to see if the eSRAM ever delivers any performance gains later into its lifecycle) machine for $100 more.

OK the problem with number 1 is most gamers are always connected anyway so it's a nit pick deal just for the heck of it. It isn't something that really bothers the people that are always Online arguing about it. So it's a point I would forget about because it's a non issue.

The problem with number 2 is included in the original post of this thread. You did just what he said always happens fulfilling the steriotype. You called the price into play assuming the kinnect didn't exist. it''s pretty ovious that's why the system cost more but it's always conveniently left out.

That's not the reason why people complained. There is a big difference to being online, and having to *always* be online.

It may from first instance not seem like much of a difference but actually from a gaming point of view it is.

The problem was:

1. You must connect to the internet at least once every 24 hours or your games would stop working

2. If your internet goes down or you move to somewhere without internet (ie perhaps you are waiting for it to be installed), your games wont work.

3. People don't like this kind of control, if MS decided in the future to switch off the servers, the games would no longer work. When asked they said, "dont worry about it - our servers will be up for along time"... they never directly said - we will not switch off the servers to your games.

This is before I get into the Disk selling/2nd hand sales, disk being useless conversation :)

So basically thats a big difference from having a connected device to the internet. I have about 100 GOG games, I started playing Dungeon Keeper again yesterday, there was no guarentee that any game i purchased (even on disk) on the XboxOne would work 10 years later. That's why people were pissed.

Seems that this site has turned into a bashing fest for all fans opposing Xbox One. Most talk on this site has been focused on Multi-plats, yet thats about where the story ends. Xbox has done a great job on first party and has in my opinion, a way better launch line up. So the focus obviously has been on Launch Multiplats that are rushed out. Not only rushed but on a new systems. No one is denying that PS4 has more power, but by how much?  This site would have you believe Xbox One is actually the atari 2600. However Ryse has yet to be outshined.

One factor that is always, ALWAYS left out is? Kinect 2.0, a great piece of hardware that will not be ignored by the public or gamers alike. Not only will it not be ignored but will be a major selling point for the system.  You will see a lot of posts that complain about the extra $100 but completely leave out and ignore Kinect, as if it's not even a part of the deal. Personally I think paying a extra $100 for the device is a great deal and will serve them in the future. Launching with the device is a great idea and will be a success, the only people who compain about this, are usually only those who where not going to buy the system in the first place. having the device from the beginning will get games to use in all different ways and get the attention it deserves. I can see FPS games allowing you to peak around corners or many different combinations of actions.

Reasons why most articles are spin.

1. Launch games are not going to be to close to full potential, and are not going to be for some time. Look at what Halo 4 Achieved

2. There is a learning curve for any system, some are easier, some are not. Time is needed, it's new!

3.  Xbox One will Achieve 1080p 60fps on multi-plats and has already on first party game Forza.

Now we will get lots of spin and pounding of the chest in here, try to keep it civil.

Umm that works for both.....Laucnh games on PS4 don't use all of it's potential either. Both will improve over time, the gap will remain..

Thats an assumption I wouldn't make. so far the difference only lies in res yet th games are identical. if x one make 1080p the norm were would the gap be? ps4 pushing 4k regularly? I doubt that.

Umm every site, person that has PLAYED each version states'THE PS4 version is clearly superior". It is NOT an assumption that PS4 games will also improve, it is not a microsoft only thing. The hardware is the hardware, there is a gap in power, notihng you say changes that. Games look vastly diff in motion then random stills of specific spots.

Also ONLy resolution? Resolutoon alone can be a big difference, 1080P versus 720P is near twice the pixels , detail and real estate to render.

I would rather go from what I've seen than selective opinions and I doubt all that played said that. Pretty sure at least 1 I have seen said you couldn't tell the diff, as for me I took the time to download high deff photage to form my own opinion. The key is how visuals are percieved os always a person to person opinion.

You are assuming the speed of improvment will be simoultaneous. That is a niave way of thinking about it. Either side could be quicker about it.

Yeah, yeah. And the poor innocent Xbox/Nintendo fans have to suffer under this tyranny every day since the mods are all horribly biased towards Playstation and don't do anything about it. Seriously this phrase "he got banned for this, even though XXX fans do that all the time"(which is very often used in connection with Playstation/Sony) is so absolutely childish that I wouldn't mind if it was a bannable offense.

Just ban everyone all the time. seems ur answer. Lol You should get banned for calling me childish

No, not really, basically I feel that this comment could be a bannable offense because it is a pretty obvious attack/criticism on the mod team, which are not allowed outside of the dedicated mod feedback thread.

Also I was not calling you childish I was calling the comment childish, because if we want to rephrase it then it's basically like saying "they get to do everything, while we aren't allowed anything", which in my opinion can not be classified as anything but a very childish/juvenile thing to say.

I'm not trying to attack you personally, I just can't stand comments like this.

i'm going to list off the phases i've seen since i've been on this site:

punching bag = 360 for RRoD.
punching bag = ps3 for $599
punching bag = wii for casual games
punching bag = wii for massive sales drop aka fad
punching bag = ps3 for psn hack
punching bag = 3DS for no games at launch
punching bag = ps vita for shit-tacular sales and no games
punching bag = wiiU for shit-tacular sales and no games
punching bag = xbox one for anti-consumer policies

...my only question is why are xbox fans so sensitive?  sony and nintendo fans weathered their shit storms with far more grace.

Every Xbox article Sony fans have to drop their sourness on'em.

Youtube,Facebook,GSpot,IGN,NeoGaf,Eurogamer, to the ∞...

I mean they're more sensitive to our issues than we are. Ofcourse Sony fans gonna weather their issues better because you barely see Xbox fans go on a juvenile rampage on every social media outlet to diminish PS just to feel good about themselves. PS: I'm not saying there's no Xbox fans trolling.

All the trolling, flamebait and disrespect during MS's initial policy reveal was desnecessary for example. MS didn't even bother until Xbox customers apparently refrained from pre-ordering X1 and consquently they changed their policies.

It's not about being sensitive, it just gets old all the childish behavior.

Also as Xbox fans, I normally see Sony fans posting a majority of negative article's for Xbox One. Now the internet has way more Playstation fans then Xbox but we should take a page out of their book. You won't find as many articles because of the make up of the internet but be sure if you see something to rush over, post it! This site needs some balance. I usually only post MS articles but be sure I will be posting Sony news. As that is what always happens here.

~ Mod Edit ~

This user was moderated by TruckOSaurus for this post (in conjunction with this thread: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=1713

Lol he got banned for telling people to do what sony fans do all the time. So the action is ok,  just not saying it.  Lol

This shows some conflict.

it shows nothing other than your lack of understanding of the situation

1- he made a thread complaining about bashing

2- he urged other users to bash the PS4 just for the sake of bashing

3- he went and made a thread about a piece of news thats almost 2 months old just to bash the PS4 and cause trouble.

his ban is the most justifiable ban i ever seen.

and to clarify, the "xbox one punching bag shit" has been other posters posting news about the xbox one, as it turns out a lot of those threads are nagative articles, because guess what, microsoft has been majorly fucking up. he however is just complaining about the negative news and wants it to stop, he wants the mods to filter out the news and just allow postive xbox one threads. but wants more negative PS4 threads. He is basically calling for censorship that favors the xbox one and harms the PS4.

We'll they get dropping sources because there is a massive denial going on. First it was PS4 is Not more powerfull, then it was secret sauce, now it's resolutoion doesn't matter, or nit picking still pics and arguing x1 looks better despite over whelming evidence., or X1 will get better over time (PS4 won't???).

It's quite clear who are sensitive here, it's not the fanbase being defensive.

Selective opinions?? They have eyes they can see. EVERY site that ahs played both says the ps4 version si CLEARLY a lot better looking, this is fact, please post a site that says it isn't? You have not played either, so you haven't seen anything.. Game in motion is vastly different then random stills, how hard is that to understand?

Is it a Internet conspiracy and they are all Sony fanboys in the gaming press now?

You know what else is not opinion?? Hardware, the ps4 4 hardware is simply more powerfull, this will never change.....a bigger more powerfull GPu is a big deal.

It's not about being sensitive, it just gets old all the childish behavior.

As BanannaKing said, there's way too much "woe is me", people playing the victim. If look on websites, youtube or anywhere there is also a group of people slating Sony/Nintendo all the time. I mean look at the negative stuff the press have been doing about Sony last week, or the brushing under the carpet of resolution differences, and no MP3 on PS4 is suddenly a bigger issue for these sites. So don't think its all one sided, as it aint :)

None of this is exclusive, the only problem some people have is that MS screwed up big time with their launch (sure no one will disagree with that).. .and these gamer floaters who have no hardware allegience have slated MS (as well as everyone else).. and people are getting upset because too many people are slating them.

So, do i agree that it has got out of hand a little, yeah, but it's on all sides. Do i think MS deserves a little payback, well i think the pre-order, the backtrack proves this is not just Sony fans, and I think people need to come to terms with that, rather than using the victim card.

MS screwed up = lots more people hating on MS != Sony fans causing trouble

But just because they changed their policy, doesnt necessarily mean they get a free bus ride into town. Also why should people just start to trust them again, they need to earn the trust back like Sony had to in 2006. It's going to take a lot of hard work and alot of 1st party made games/good policy before people will be happy again. Is that unfair? I dont think so.
