Umm every site, person that has PLAYED each version states'THE PS4 version is clearly superior". It is NOT an assumption that PS4 games will also improve, it is not a microsoft only thing. The hardware is the hardware, there is a gap in power, notihng you say changes that. Games look vastly diff in motion then random stills of specific spots.
Also ONLy resolution? Resolutoon alone can be a big difference, 1080P versus 720P is near twice the pixels , detail and real estate to render.

I would rather go from what I've seen than selective opinions and I doubt all that played said that. Pretty sure at least 1 I have seen said you couldn't tell the diff, as for me I took the time to download high deff photage to form my own opinion. The key is how visuals are percieved os always a person to person opinion.
You are assuming the speed of improvment will be simoultaneous. That is a niave way of thinking about it. Either side could be quicker about it.

He said the hardware is the hardware. The fact is that the PS4 is the more powerful hardware with a better overall GPU (more ROPs, shaders, TMUs, ACE's) and a faster single pool of RAM. It is physically impossible for developers to push more out of less hardware.
The OS overhead can be reduced on both systems, but the PS4 is the easier system to work with so even the rate of improvement favours the PS4 (less time needed for developers to get it to run so more time can be spent optimising and trying out new techniques).
