Dunno...Mario Maker on the Wii U makes sense.
Kirby maybe should be on 3DS I agree; but I suppose they're trying to re-ignite the Wii U. 3DS gets Pokemon, Smash and another game to be revealed today. A little light, yeah, but eh.

Mario Maker on the 3DS makes as much sense as on WiiU. You can still build the stages on the lower screen and play them on the superior one using the New Super Mario Bros 2 engine.
What doesn't make sense is not launching some piece of software on a platform just because you are launching it on the other. It's not competing against yourself, but pleasing all your customers.
