No it doesnt. Sorry buddy. They are different assests in Uncharted 3. Crytek publicly called out Naughty Dog live on stage at Autodesk saying they even use different assests for the sand walking scene compared to normal gameplay. Hence why the screen blacks out for 3 seconds going down the sand dunes towards the city. In fact that 20 minute scene blacks out more than 10 times.

Ryse is the first EVER game to use all the same assests unchanged.

I'm pretty sure Ocarina of Time in did that in 1998.

I might just send you friend request because of this lol.

Umm pretty much every game uses the same detail on all characters.................... . Polygons is not a technique. Many games have the same assets in cut scenes as real time..uncharted, Metal gear did this on Ps3......

There is NOTHING in ryse that is not ebing done on any AAA game, only ryse is scripted and linear thus has limited scope.

I repeat. When you are only rendering a small, scipted linear area it is easy to up the poly count on npc's faces. Games like Kz, infamous are rendering huge environments and 5 times thre effects ryse is, all in 1080p.............it is easy to see which games are more impressive. The massive areas, number of enemies and scope going on in other next gen games, ryse isn't that impressive.  The detail in shadow fall is way beeyond what ryse is doing.

Ryse hasn't really shown any gameplay yet, so it might have beautiful open vistas and such, we just don't know.

Also, just because a game is linear, doesn't make it necessarily a less impressive game graphically. Uncharted won awards for graphics in spite of its linearity (but it did look like it was running on a different machine to every other game...), so you can't say Ryse doesn't look better because it is linear

It doesn't look better because it doesn't look better.

To me Shadow Fall is winning the graphics war because I have personally played it and we have seen far more of the single player campaign than we have of Ryse.

Also, if you are going to keep arguing, can you cut down the length of the quote trees...

Wow I completely agree with you. It was a USELESS argument in my opinion. BOTH games look AMAZING to say different just shows bias and that one is not being realistic. Both have strong and weak points. SO I don't get why they had like a 3 page argument over NOTHING lol. It would have been simple to say both look great but I perfer A over B and left it that lol....

ALso yeah those quote trees were RIDICULOUS...

Definitely looks good, despite looking like cut scenes.  Even if you are using the same assets, if you know where the camera is going to be you can use some tricks.  Still, seems a pretty safe bet that this game will look great, as of course will KZ.

Yeah, it sucks that in order to play all the good games you need to fork out cash for all 3 systems, but that's just the way it is.  The question for me is, can I hold out long enough for some price drops.

Microsoft need to disable the sharpening filter, or limit it to only use sharpen when upscaling, just watched some forza 5 at 1080p and the sharpening effect being used by the scaler is present even though its native, and it makes what would otherwise be quite smooth, jaggy, even at freaking 1080p!

Yeah I won't be getting either system until 2015....atleast that is my plan...lol. Hopefully my will power will hold up...that or they have some CRAZY deals nexy year around the holidays!

Thats even longer than I was planning.  I might get a Wii U this year due to some exclusives building up.  Then I might get a PS4/Xbox One next year once their librarys build up.   2015 is a bit of stretch, but I tell you what, if you can wait that long you'll have a lot of cheap good games to play.  Just don't wait too long, else launch titles might lose their appeal lol (since newer games will be coming out).

Was playing this at a Swedish game expo today:

Really really poor is pretty much how I can describe it. "A" is used for parrying, "X" is used for attacking and "B" is for rolling. Once you realize this, it pretty much feels like a poor mans Assassin's Creed (not to mention AC's combat in general has grown to become stale over the several games the past years). It just felt completely boring. I played for a good ten minutes, then I passed it over... Nothing challenging or exciting about it.

Also, I passed it over to the guy in the booth, since nobody was actually waiting to play it there. It was the first day of the convention and nobody seemed to even give it a chance. Contrast that to Forza 5 and Killzone Shadow Fall which had insanely long wait times.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one! When I played it I felt much the same way. I'm assuming the interest in the game is coming from it having a much better singleplayer?

LOl at the both of you . What do you expect out the combat system ? Do you even know that made comabt to be exact way the  romans would have fought during those times. They hired an expert in roman fighting . Hence why its like that and the animations. You can't expect someone like marius with all that heavy armor and huge shiled to fly around the environment slaying monsters like you can do in GOW series lol. Its nt opossible. Back in the romans day all they did was attack , block , parry , dodge , sidestep and so on . IT Does exactly that . Plus theres a combo system and hundreds of different executions. if you have put more thought into your play ,, you would have realised that theres timing for each attack . The perfect timing is called legendary  timing. How you time it ,, will determine how fast the enemies die and teh combo streaks you do before doing the execution. Even the execution has its own timing.  God of war was also not challenging. All that game is on harder difficulty is to memorize the enemy patterns as they are predictable . Apart from that all enemies and bosses are just overpowered hence why people find it hard. Its not a proper challenge or requires pure skill like you need to in the first ninja gaiden. You can go through the entire game in the god of war series doing one move.

This is hogwash..if you try t go through GOW using one move you won get past the first area....many enemies requirew specific attacks and patterns...nice try.

The gameplay for ryse has gotten very negative oress for a reason.

I have actually done that with every GOW game to prove to my friend that you don't need to be fancy in order to finish the game. Thats because gamers expect the combat to be similar to GOW when its impossible as they are trying to replicate how romans would have fought in those days. Because of GOW most if hack and slash title try to copy its fighting style when really its nothing special. It smainly pressing one or two buttons then QTE for execution and the worst part is that the story for every GOW game is quite boring. The only thing that kept me going was the big boss battles and ofcourse the trophies. Hence why you get the combat system shown in Ryse. If peopel want to criticis then they should go back to teh roman era and tell the romans to be ecreative in their fighting style lol.

I would say MGS5 won the graphics considerign teh amount detail that is packed in a huge open world.  If witcher 3 was shown then that might take teh crown as teh game is bigger then skyrim lol.

umm your lying..there are MANY enemies you simply CANNOT defreat this way, Period. It is not mainly pressing a qte to execute, thats usually only after a long battle, Stop spreading lies. Again, what you say is impossible in ANY god of war game period. Numeropus enemies can ONLY be taken down with counters and deflecting attacks back at them......so why are you resorting to lying to try to make one game look bad?? Ryse wont hold a candle to GOW, book mit, cant wairt for the reviews to come out. The games fighting and animations look incredibly limited.
