Interesting...... people buy the console, don´t buy its best games, then come to say that the console sucks.
what kind of sick logic is this ?

I am playing my Wii U all the time. Lately Deus X and Need for Speed have been keeping me busy, and Ashes Cricket and Watch Dogs is on my wish list... I say go for it!
I don't have a Wii U and I'd say it's worth buying one. I'm going to buy one for myself in January, when I can afford it.
How are wii games on wii U? Do they look better with some kind of upscale or the same 480p crap? Can I play wii games with the wiiU gamepad or I have to connect a classic controller or that wii toy controller?
If they starter to release HD versions of Wii games with the option to play with the wiiU gamepad I would buy a wiiU today. There are so many great wii games that I havnt played because of the crap resolution and the damn controller...

They are the best games on the system, charming beyond imagination and they shout the Gameplay>everything else mantra from the rooftops.
Oh God, Pikmin3.... <3 |
I have Pikmin 3 on Gamefly. It does look good though :) Wonderful 101 i just havent ever been interested in it honestly, but ill give it a try.
I got my Wii U for the gamepad. Yes I am probably the only one on these forums. I wanted to try it out our of pure curiosity.
What I enjoyed about the gamepad is local multiplayer. Me and my mate can kick back and play against each other in a social environment whilst talking and drinking some beers. No more teens with balls barely dropped screaming online at everyone lol.
The question you first need to ask is "How much do I enjoy Nintendo games?"
If the answer is along the lines of "more than third party games", then it's worth getting. Otherwise, if you currently own a PS3/360, I think that'd be good for at least another year. Then you can look at the game library of all 3 next gen consoles to help make your mind up.

Neither game would i say are must have games. While good games they certainly dont justify spending $300+. Sorry if people disagree with me but I will say no on this one. |
That's what I'm trying to figure out. Is the system worth $300 for just a few games? I feel like I might end up in the same boat as you.

I would be using it for local multiplayer as well. Not sure if Ouya would be better. I like Nintendo 1st party over 3rd party because of the local multiplayer.

@BOLD No it doesn't. Regardless of the Wii U's issues, HDMI can't do that. |
HDMI 1.4 can do that, and that's why it was made. But for 4K HD in 3D 60 fps per image, you will need HDMI 2.0, so PS4 & ONE rushed the 4K HD support for media.
Actually the best console to buy (after 3DS). Now you can get fantastic games.
