Is Wii U worth buying?

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Is the system worth $300 for just a few games? I feel like I might end up in the same boat as you.

What I enjoyed about the gamepad is local multiplayer. Me and my mate can kick back and play against each other in a social environment whilst talking and drinking some beers.

I would be using it for local multiplayer as well. Not sure if Ouya would be better. I like Nintendo 1st party over 3rd party because of the local multiplayer.
