PS2 had a much larger console fanbase than Xbox did, so trying to push the Playstation loyalists thing with sales that are barely higher than those of the 360 is stretching it. If anything, you've proved how much the Xbox fanbase are loyalists over the Playstation fanbase. Xbox has 16% of the sales that the PS2 does. We'll give it the benefit of the doubt and say 25% of the sales when the PS3 launched. Your launch figures the 360 has 75% of the sales of the PS3. So that means Microsoft has 300% more loyalists than Sony does. |
Sales on it's own doesn't prove that people are loyalists. When the 360 launched, it was the ONLY HD console on the market. Buying it had nothing to do with loyalty - it was hands down the best system available. Lots of loyal Sony supporters bought it to have the best system on the market, as the PS3 was still months away.

OH SNAP!
Poor Ethomaz.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

The console with more unities on shelves will be the one with more sales (sic).
The XOne is not a dead horse, no matter how much NeoGaf and ultra hardcore fanatics might try.
Any way, the PS4 could end up as the Ozzymandias of a desolated console market, when tablets, smartphones end many other entertaiment devices rain waste to a single purpuse - offine - disc based machine.

I don't understand what you mean. Do they sell large 4K TV's there that aren't outrageously priced? I only use 60" or larger TV's.

kowen, launch windows sales were entirely determined by how much stock was available (especially for NA!). 360 was sold out in the US for a solid 4 months and at that point you started seeing it more in stores.

I read somewhere that this was a hype rumor or will be shortlived. I'm excited for opening day PS4 but who would ever pay that much? Is it for real? Is it just because their currency is totally f'ed right now or what?

Just so I know what you mean. How long are you talking here?
I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.
