Really?  you and others re-writing history again.

We all agree the PS3 had a ridiculous price and horrible launch line up right?  and yet....

Hardware sold in first three months (launch window) in each region:

US

PS3: 868k

360: 791k

Europe

PS3: 936k  (march launch)

360: 864k (holiday launch)

Japan

PS3: 617k

360: 110k

Totals:

PS3: 2.4m

360: 1.8m

So you dont think that Sony fans were quick off the mark in supporting their console, the TRUTH is that they did it last gen DESPITE the negative launch and high price.  So it sint at odds, its exactly what I said.

Dont mention it...

PS2 had a much larger console fanbase than Xbox did, so trying to push the Playstation loyalists thing with sales that are barely higher than those of the 360 is stretching it.  If anything, you've proved how much the Xbox fanbase are loyalists over the Playstation fanbase.  Xbox has 16% of the sales that the PS2 does.  We'll give it the benefit of the doubt and say 25% of the sales when the PS3 launched.  Your launch figures the 360 has 75% of the sales of the PS3.  So that means Microsoft has 300% more loyalists than Sony does.

Sales on it's own doesn't prove that people are loyalists. When the 360 launched, it was the ONLY HD console on the market. Buying it had nothing to do with loyalty - it was hands down the best system available. Lots of loyal Sony supporters bought it to have the best system on the market, as the PS3 was still months away.
