Forums - Sales Discussion - Vita sales up 1600% in Japan!

Maybe EU and US would be more reactive too if we had the steady flow of awesome games Japan is getting for Vita :/

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Amazing considering this was the same week that Pokemon X and Y released.

Don't worry, the 3DS moved 213,000 hardware units during the same time frame in Japan....but yeah, 60,000 isn't too bad ;)

His point is that a market the size of Japan spending that much on video games in one week is remarkable and it is.

I would have to admit the Vita slim proved me wrong when I said the Vita sales will remain flat or down until the VTV launches.

Hopefully, this numbers can be sustained.

Still think the Vita is dead in the west....if this number falls again quickly, japan won't be able to save it.

it seems the case, this JP sales are good, but, in NA and EU the price dropped since september 20 and sales are not getting up.

3DS had a Pokemon release. Of course it's going to do massive numbers. The fact that the Vita can do 60k without a single major release is impressive.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Vita is SAVED...for about 2-3 weeks

when does this hit the NA/EU?

Excellent, but Vita needs that part of this boost remain and it needs it outside of Japan too. Anyway, once again, there's more life in PS Vita than in Wii U, maybe Ninty should have called it Wii Vita!

Now that is a jump in sales worth talking about.
