Wait, you dont think 3DS will have 15mil sales for tis year? or do you mean holiday? (cant be holiday its impossible o.O)

I said this holiday Q, can't be clearer than that ...

Nintendo forecast 18m this FY, they will sell about 5m out of holiday season, leaves about 13m for the holiday, max.

5mil only? No F***ing way! 3DS is 7mil so 3 weeks left intill holiday season (Nov cuz some p. eople think its just Dec), last year we had Paper Mario only outside of japan. This year we have Pokemon XY+zelda+2DS. Nov+Dec will have sold at least 6mil. Last year totalsales were 14.2mil. This year will be way over that

Talking about shipments, more reliable ...

So far they're 2.6m this year. I expect Q3 to be around 2.5m this year (no pokemon or 2DS in this Q) = 5m. Oct is included in with my holiday prediction. So overall I expect around 18m.

Sony.

Nintendo has the 3DS and the Wii U, while Sony has the PS3, PS4, and PSV. Wii U and PSV cancel each other out, so PS3+PS4 verse 3DS. PS3 is not too far behind 3DS, so if PS4 sells a few million this year they win.

Should be really close though.

its pretty obvious that the PSV wont be able to match the WiiU this year, just look at the bump zelda gave it and know that there is Sonic, mario and Wii Fit yet to come, while the PSV just has tear away. The PS3 wont be able to match the 3DS this year, but the Wii Wont be aven close to either the PS3 or PS4. all in all, it will be a close call, though i give the edge to Nintendo winning by a few million.

Vita's currently 200 thousand ahead of Wii U for the year. If wii u sells 3.5 million more to end the year above 7 million, then that's only about a million and a half above Vita. I guess that's a big difference, but compared to PS3 and 3DS sales it isn't much.

thats now though, 3DS will double this year sales starting now!

there's a small little known indie game called pokemon, as well as 2ds, zelda and holidays.

Pokemon isn't an indie game ... do you even know what an indie game is? lawl.

3DS aint doing 15m this holiday Q. That would up 100% YOY. Not even Nintendo expect that. Do you even look at their forecasts?

Actually, Pokemon is an indie game.  Most indie developers on the other hand aren't indie.  The term indie comes from independant.  When an "indie developer" like Klei Entertainment gets support from a third party, EA Partners, then they aren't independant.  They are dependant on the funding an independant organization is offering them.

The Pokemon Company on the other hand is owned by Nintendo, so being a part of Nintendo means that the Pokemon Company is Nintendo.  All funding comes from within the company, meaning that they're independant.

Additionally.  Developers who receive crowd funding on Kickstarter aren't independant.  They're dependant as most of them require the funding they receive from Kickstarter backers.  Most would drop whatever project they're working on if they didn't get the backing for said project.

I will use the term from time to time because people know what you're talking about when you say indie, but I hate the term because indie isn't indie.  The people who came up with the term and made it popular are morons.

Nintendo, due to "3DS Master Race."

It will probably end up as a closefight, but I think the power of tundabolt's gonna take this home to Kyoto.

3DS: 15m
WiiU: 4.5m
Wii: 1.9 m
DS: 0.8 m

PS4: 5.0 m
PS3: 9.8 m
PSP: 2.8 m (I think the actually numbers are overtracked)
PSV: 3m

Nintendo:

Nintendo: 22,2 m
Sony: 20,6m

Bad numbers overall, is what I predict.

Fanatismo não leva a nada, apenas a colecionar antipatias.

Nintendo will win, but it'll be quite close - somewhere within 2-3m units

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Just like a thousand other words, the meaning changes over time. I don't think anyone would regard Gamefreak or Nintendo, who own the franchise, as independant.
