The company, as a whole, has gone downhill. As much as I love FF7, part of me wishes that they do not remake it. As others have said on this post, Square Enix is just lazy. Everytime we asked for the remake, all we got were excuse after excuse.

"We need to make a Final Fantasy that would surpass FF7's quality and sales."

"It would be too expensive because we have to make everything realistic."

The company needs to realize that they have to stop and listen to what their fans actually want instead of pretending what they think we want. They assume that we wanted sequels to FF13, but then again, nobody asked for them. I would have loved to play Type-0, but Sqaure-Enix is undecided at the moment whether it is worth localizing.

So many times has Square Enix blew the chance to redeem themselves. I am amazed the company hasn't gone under yet.

No, seriously. This is breaking my heart.

Wow. Even on remakes, SE is lazy, and is making the game more appropriate for lazy players, though I have absolutely no idea where is it that they had to grind in FF VI.

Exactly what I posted.  Well, not excactly, but pretty much what I posted.  First two replies and we mention the same thing.

*edit*

I wonder if Square Enix thinks FF7 required grinding.  That was even easier than FF6.

They do, the PC fixed port has an auto level button.

This is the easiest remake you could possibly have chosen. You literally didn't have to change anything. HOW DID YOU MESS THIS UP, SQUARE?!

It really sucks that Square does eventually make a few gems I want to play, because supporting this company gets really hard at times, good thing I am not supporting the FF brand loyally anymore.

Also a pity they own Eidos, wish Eidos was bought out by Ubisoft or someone else.

Square Enix is shit.  That is all.  Oh, and I noticed this.

For instance grinding was an issue and people had to spend a lot of time leveling up. Now on the mobile devices the battle systems have been adjusted so you don't have to fight as much and can enjoy the game for what it is.

What?  There was no grinding on Final Fantasy 6.  The game was easy.  There was only grinding if you're a complete dumbass.  Not only do they remake it for a shitty platform, they dumb the game down so it's not even worth playing.

This^ if anything the game needed to be harder! All Final Fantasy games are too easy!

WHAT??? This is my favorite game of all time, but I got to admit that the leveling up was a little exhausting, remember Dinosaur Forest? the trick was to level up as soon as you got the ship back so all the other characters you'd reunite afterwards will rejoin at level 99 already.

Does this count as a remake.... isn't this just a re-released port?

Squaresoft and Enix became crap once they merged.

come on guys lets pick up some torches and all head to SE headquarters
dont leave a piece of it standing
