Don't worry. Indies will save these smaller markets. Just look at divekick.
i don't know how next gen will be for fighting games but i really want to see a fight night game for next gen just to see how the deforming faces will look like
all I see is mario saving another genre
Tsubasa Ozora
Keiner kann ihn bremsen, keiner macht ihm was vor. Immer der richtige Schuss, immer zur richtigen Zeit. Superfussball, Fairer Fussball. Er ist unser Torschützenkönig und Held.
From a Sony fan, I would like to see Sony outsell Nintendo and the WiiU this gen very badly.
However, as a HUGE and longtime Smash fan, I want to see SSB4 sell 10+ million copies and bring back relevancy to fighters.
A shame to not see King of Fighters 13 on that list...
Yeah, what Diogo1034 said. And basically what Capcom did with Streetfighter 4 and then making the same mistake with Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. -_-'

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!
| Diogo1034 said: I think cause some franchises have lost its credibility or something that made that franchise special, like i'm an avid tekken player and i've been playing tekken since tekken 2 and it peaked at tekken 3 it was easily the best but, it started to go downhill by adding in too many characters, stages with walls, ground bounces (tekken 6) and many other things but it is starting to change with tekken tag tournament 2 but its a bit to late. Other companies such as capcom lost their fanbase or potential new buyers with its business practices, remember the whole street fighter x tekken dlc thing, ultra street fighter 4 their 3rd re-release of the game and lastly they released ultimate marvel vs capcom 3 just 9 months after the first iteration and because of things like this they have lost a lot credibility |
There's no 3rd re-release of sf4. There was one. The rest is DLC. Those versions with more content is what keeps the games afloat on the scene. There's no true fighting fan that doesnt like them. They extend the life of their favorite games.
The problem is when they are witheld on the disc or when a new version is announced soon after release without beeing dlc.
