i wonder if the Vita version will look better? (kind of doubt it)

With absolutely no shadows? This low res? Kinda hard to believe. I totally expect Vita graphics to be on a higher level if they want to sell this game there.

i hope so, but i wouldnt put it pass them to just do a straight up lazy port of the 3ds version since im sure thats what they started with. I hope im wrong as im leaning toward the Vita version (Amazon has it cheaper than the 3ds one)

Well if screenshots (bullshots maybe?) is anything to go by, Blackgate looks far superior on the Vita. Also, the larger screens makes this kind of experience better suited for it.

I still have my doubts about the game, but if the reviews will be solid, it might become a purchase later on.

That screen (3DS XL) has the same size s the Vita.

Almost the same size, but you have to also take into account the resolution of the device and how that could potentially help in imersion and level design.

I doubt it that a secondary screen is a must for this game, so I stil think that the Vita version will be the better one ( hell seeing how niche the title is, I have  afeeling that sales will be on-par or maybe even slightly in the Vitas favor).

Allas I will wait and see the reviews before even thinking of purchasing this, and even then Il most probably wait for a priceut ( I doubt it will be a surprise AAA miracle game).

The 3DS screen with the 3D ON, looks more better then every LED 4K HD screen showing 2D 4K HD content.

The 3Ds with 3D on looks much more clearer and vivid & brighter & anti-aliasing looking, also the colors look much more deeper looking then 2D 4K Hd, when you have 3D on for the 3DS of course.

Plus the 3D effect in this game makes the small 3DS screen look like a big screen TV, so just imagine how much bigger looking it looks like on the 3DS XL. (way way more better 3D then Castlevania 3DS)

i have to disagree I dont think the 3d does anything for most games. I dont see it changing for Batman either especially since its in 2d. Even the bigger XL does nothing IMHO. THese are just my experiences, having played quite a few 3ds games and ive yet to been blown away by any. Id rather take the higher resolution Vita version as IMHO those games usually look better even with 3d on 3ds. (Metal Gear Solid 3 comes to mind). To each his own.

No its not. I played plenty of 3DS games and from my personal opinion, nothing came even close visually to what the Vita or home consoles can offer, 3D or not. Its far from a big screen TV, even on the XL, and whenever I played a game ( Mario 3D Land or Kart) after a couple of minutes I turned off the 3D effect.

But I guess it boils down to each of our prefrences

The 3DS version is 240p standard definition. That's why it's best to see each in person running on the 2 different systems.

Thats also why I rather compare off-screen video recordings.

But it's best to see each on each system in person for actual comparison. (talk about expensive)

Yeah I know. Even handheld gaming is expensive these days :(

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

It looks good, but there's no real need to downplay Revelations which looks truly spectacular for a 3DS title.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

But you have only played 2011 3DS games.

You haven't seen the big improvemts they make every 6 to 8 months, which is extreme for such a short time. And this game comes out October 2013.

Which is al the more reason for me to look forward to my pre-order of Pokémon Y...can't wait.

Honestly, what were people here expecting from the 3DS since it's weaker than the gamecube.

The Nintendo 3DS CPU can clock a GPU at 400 MHz and does.

I don't see the GameCube doing more then around 200 MHz with its GPU clock at 194 MHz. And I don't see the Wii doing more then around 250 MHz with its GPU clock at 243 MHz.

The 3DS has way more better textures & shader abilities according to 3rd parties, and it has more then 120 million polygons clearly showing in its games, and it has somewhere from 60 to 100 shader cores. So what are you talking about.

The GameCube and Wii could never do Resdent evil revelations 3DS nor PS3 nor Castlevania 3DS nor batman Arkham Origins Blackgate nor kid Icarus uprising nor sonic generations 3DS nor cave story 3D.

The Wii can't even do the 3DS version of Donkey Kong Country Returns, which replace the Wii's cell-shaded graphics with pure polygon for 3DS.

Clock speeds don't matter much at all when the fact is the ati flpper features more shaders and texture mapping units for a greater raw power.

I want to see some sources for it's better texture and shader capabilites too if you don't mind. BTW it's GPU clock speed is 133 mhz http://imagequalitymatters.blogspot.ca/2010/09/tech-report-nintendo-3ds-hardware.html so that gives it 53 million triangles and a pixel fillrate of 533 million pixels a second. LOL about the pica200 60 to 100 shader cores. If that were true every 3DS would be frying since it can't handle that type of power consumption.

3DS

Gamecube

BTW resident evil 4 on gamecube looks better than resident evil revelations on the 3DS LOL. See how much better the bumpmapping is on the gamecube while also pushing a higher resolution too.

Just so you know almost every game uses polygons to render an image.
