Forums - Gaming - GTA Online is kind of crappy.

I hate how you lose 1000$ every time you die. Sometimes I just want to go out and screw around in free roam, but it feels like the game is preventing me from that by draining my bank account. Missions don't pay very much so it becomes very frustrating to try and save up money.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I'm sure once everything is up and running smoothly it will be great, but until then it's too early to judge considering it's kinda broken at the moment.

Strange.  It's still too early to judge considering it's broken?  You didn't see anyone giving EA the benefit of the doubt with SimCIty, them having issues and got it workiing perfect within two days.

Yet we're on day five and hey, let's give Rockstar a chance.  They already delayed online two weeks, let's give them more time after the game launched as a massive disappointment.  Misisons won't load, some amazingly shitty netcode, but hey, it's not our right to judge.  We only paid $60 in which half of the content doesn't work properly.

I agree. Everyone was on EA when SimCity and Diablo were broken at the start, but with R* it's like "don't worry guys, it'll be fixed!".

I get it's only a mode as opposed to a (needless) necessity, but the same rules apply. Why can't we play GTA Online...Offline? Y'Know, same missions but the other characters are NPC's, and as soon as you sign in you play online? It's affectively a new game, after all.

I'm sure it will be fixed, which is why I'm not playing online until it is. But these problems always happen. So there should be some workaround.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Yeah it needs some more patches, I have a bad audio glitch atm where everything sounds like robots and even when I refresh it doesnt fix it.

i am kind of happy the online part started 2 weeks later. because at simultaneous launch i'd first play through the singleplayer campaign (took me 1.5 weeks) and when launching online, many many people would be level 30-40 or even more which gives em access to faster cars and better weapons.

i'm level 17 now and it works just fine for the most of the time.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

It isn't broken for me on the PS3, it's just not that fun

I have generally stayed away from other players, cause they might just kill me, but the actual game modes aren't that fun. Some of the countryside races with only a few players have been good, but I think the problem is that you need to level up to unlock some of the more interesting game modes (like jets vs bikes and cool things like that)

I think the balancing needs changing, give you more money cause its mostly just repeating the same thing for the first few hours. I can see how some things would be great if you could get a good group of friends together, especially when the heists are added, but people just behave like idiots most of the time

I don't hate it,but I don't love it either. It finally worked for me after the patch. I can see myself screwing around online, but I doubt I'll really get into it. The online part, seems to be more fun if you have a bunch of freinds, but I don't.

It will be excellent, problem is feels like your playing a beta. If this were EA people would be up in arms.......It's been 5 days now and it still has a long ways to go.

I think the diff is GTA SP can still be played fine. SC and Diablo could not be played ...at all.. Still no excuse though I agree rockstar is getting off too easy. The game needs another few months development time.

In freeroam all anyone does is try and kill other players, they usually kill someone and then disconnect like cowards, avoiding any revenge chance from the victim. If they stay in the server is because they got 2-3 friends with them...and they still camp (because defending is a million times easier than attacking).

Meanwhile, in the actual deathmatch modes it seems impossible to get someone to join, send a million invites and nobody accepts. All too busy ruining freeroam I guess. IN fact that goes for almost everything 'job' you try and start yourself, nobody joins. Forced to rely on blind quick-matchmaking.

Races are always dumb, at the start of every race a bunch of idiots all try to ram eachother, one racer slips out ahead while all the rest are in a jam, that one person wins everytime and the idiots usually try ramming eachother still while unjamming...

Really bad design.

Passive mode....................

Avoid players in free roam, and I have barely had any issues. I also play with friends mainly, makes it a vastly better experience. Any online game, playing with strangers is uaually a mixed bag.

Again, play with friends..........
