I agree. Everyone was on EA when SimCity and Diablo were broken at the start, but with R* it's like "don't worry guys, it'll be fixed!".
I get it's only a mode as opposed to a (needless) necessity, but the same rules apply. Why can't we play GTA Online...Offline? Y'Know, same missions but the other characters are NPC's, and as soon as you sign in you play online? It's affectively a new game, after all.
I'm sure it will be fixed, which is why I'm not playing online until it is. But these problems always happen. So there should be some workaround.
