Any thoughts about Nystrom (Nashville) on Brière (Montreal)?

?

Brière is out for weeks after a hit to the head from Nystrom in the last Mtl match.  They called it accidental but I thought it was clearly a charge to the head...

I tried searching their names together on youtube but couldn't find anything so I had no idea what you were talking about. |
Post a link if you can find one.

wtf that is so weird, its broken when i click on it,  but when i search it again on google and find it, the URL is exactly the same..   messed up

google  "nystrom hit"    and change your search options to video only,  and results from the past week.  it should be the top video (from cbc.ca)

There were 2 or 3 spaces at the end of the link

The hit is clearly dirty because the skater never had the puck nor was it ever near him... I don't know what Nystrom was thinking. The guy should not have expected to be hit. That being said... I still don't think the head was principle point of contact. It looks similar to the other hit with it being should to shoulder at first

Also, Grabner from Islanders is suspended for two games but unlike the other two you can clearly see the head contact

After watching the video coutless times it looks like it was head to head

5 games.  Shannahan agrees its head to head.  The view in the ban video shows it clear as day.  both the leap before the hit, and the head-on-head.

I'll watch later but 5 games for a head to head hit is ridiculous in my opinion. Even if he didnt leap before the hit they would have most likely made contact. Was it irresponsible? yes, but so are a lot of other plays that dont lead to suspensions
