Nintendo should focus on 2014, not this holiday. the next gen hype will overshadow the U. in 2014 tho there arent any big hitting next gen only exclusives coming out for ps4 or X1, and if there are none are on ssb or mk level.if they can get out both Kart U and SSBU in 2014 theyre set.

2015 onwards is PS4 domination tho till end of gen

Wii U: wont do well. SM3D and DK cannot compete with PS4 and X1. PS3 and 360 are also still factors.

as important as always... Holidays are always big for nintendo.

ps4 and xone are competing with nothing this year and wii u has much more than mario and donkey kong.

Important, but out of their hands really. They pretty much have to concede the holiday buzz to the PS4 and X1 launches.

Early next year is more important, as they can be very strategic with the timing of MK and SSB to try and catch the PS4 or X1 (maybe both) in a lull. Putting out their best when the competition is at their weakest may swing the attention back to them.

They might have more luck with the casuals over the holidays with Wii Fit U, and Sony and MS aren't focusing on them so that should help. This is the approach they should take to have a good shot at the holidays.

It's the end of the fiscal year. But it's also when Mario Kart should be out.
