imo comparing Ryse to GoW is an insult almost as bad as comparing Playstation awwl stars to SSB. You can't compare a frivolous game to a game that's best in it's genre.


Seriously. it's not a hack n slash....its a totally different game. Way easier and casualized like Assassins Creed.



Well technically God of War and Assassins Creed would be filed under the "Action Adventure" genre, at least according to metacritic: http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/god-of-war-ascension , http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/assassins-creed-iii And Ryse too looks like an action adventure game. Just the comparison is just plain bad might as well compare Forza and GT to Fast and the Furious Showdon. The combat in GoW is as you say Hack N Slash while AC and Ryse look like more traditional melee combat.

pre-orders werent even big in 2006. You just lined up hours before the store opened (24 hours in advance if you wanted to guarentee a console) and waited. So, no... Ps3 did not have 1 million pre-orders. They probably shipped about a million for launch but thats it.

Targets first system that they took preorders for was the Wii U.

Since preordering wasnt a big thing until recently, does that make PS4 preorder numbers less significant?

Yeah, when I say Hack N Slash genre I am talking about the old beat em up genre that actually turned into a technical system once the PS era hit. DMC, Ninja Gaiden, Shinobi, Bayonetta. Games like this. God of War is still Action/Adventure as you say but it represents Hack N Slash and is probably the highest quality in that class. There is no other hack n slash that is outselling it. It holds the crown.

Only when you say things like "most pre-orders than any other previous systems" but not when you look at them for what they are.

If the Xbox One hasn't already, the PS4 has already shattered the Wii U's preorders. I would say by nearly three times if it was past a million WW by Gamescom. The Xbox and Wii U serve a larger and more stable demographic than Nintendo, which is why even under hard times their sales will still be adequate for the thime they are in.

I read the rest of your post. Your welcome. Pre orders doesn't mean a thing, and the Wii U has a better lineup now that the PS4 and One will have when they release. 

 

A lot of gamers will get one early on, and thats why the pre orders are so high. Do not forget what the internet means for these things.

But wtf ga e you that impression for microsoft?

Microsoft have put the eggs in lots of baskets. Dead rising 3 latest build getting huge praise in media. Killer instinct getting huge praise in media. Ign said why the hell has it not been done in last 10 years. And ryse is getting big praise on its latest behind doors single player. Then theres the hugely praised project spark.

Dont put microsoft in the same camp as sony with its shooter and ridge racer clone. Theres a reason theres so many games on so many lists for xbox one.

Plus exclusives wise xbox one had more than double the e3 awards from media.

Look at the bolded and at your reply, the one and the ps4 will have good suppor aftert launch, unlike the game draught of the wii u.
