Didnt the samething happen with the PS Vita VS. 3DS, where they have the edge over the 3DS in that advertisements in retail stores describing the new features of Vita plus advertising the best Vita games better then 3DS ads for games like Kingdom Hearts 3D & Mario anything & Kid Icarus: Uprising. But all the Vita ads about Call of Duty & Assassin's Creed 3 LM (clearly both bought games since their just side stories) in America not do any good.

I can hardly recall a KH3D ad compare to the AC3LM ads, & COD: D ads.

For one thing, the 3DS had a MUCH better advertisement campaign at the time of launch and around the time new games like SM3DLand and Mario Kart 7 dropped, then what we've seen and are seeing from Nintendo's handling of the Wii U or most of its upcoming games. Second, while the Vita had more commercials, I never saw a ad stand for it at the entrance of my local Wal-Mart.

For those not within the US or among the middle class, that is pretty big. Its one thing to have a stand at a Gamestop, but to have multiple ones in a major retailer like Wal Mart or Target not just limited to their electronic sections throws a lot of weight puts families on notice for what their kids might want come Christmas time. Sony put a lot into the Vita campaign but didn't have the legit software to back it up, the Xbox One or PS4 don't really have great software exclusive for it either but they have a stronger brand recognition then the Vita did/has along with general anticipation their systems won't be the best selling platforms of the year but they won't do Wii U numbers in how little they sell.
