That's not exactly true though. They could just be storing free ps+ games

Even so Sony is gouging you to play titles you already paid to rent. Those games are not free in the strictest since. Higher margin purchases should be subsized. At least they would have happy publishers. That means more titles. They need a 250 model with 64 GB and a game probably a high quality ps+ title or let you pick from a variety. They would only be subsidizing the card at that price.

Like how MS gouges you to play games online for games you already paid for? 80m sold. Like Nintendo gouges you for peripherals to play games on a system you already own? 30m wiifits sold.
Look. If you're looking to make a negative out of a situation, we can play that all day.
At the end of that day, the important thing is getting customers to buy the system. They need a reason. Currently, the Vita doesn't have that raison d'etre. It will help when ps4 is out and it can stream your games on the go. Sure. That's a good reason, but it's niche toward consumers who already own a ps4.
Giving away a 64gb card and a AAA ps+ title at 250$ is ridiculous. You're thinking far too "inside the box". Your proposition is to take a bigger Razorblade cost and give more value. The mainstream, and to a lesser extent the core, do not care. Not one bit. Vita JUST had a pricecut in both system and cards. Did it help? Barely.
What needs to be said to get it through people's heads that it's not memory cards or system price? It's the motivation to buy that is missing. PERIOD. Feel free to continue arguing, but you're wrong.

bolded: sony is doing the paid online too. and I can't see a problem with an optional add on for an optional game. the thing even comes bundled with the game.

zero, you remind me of another zero who plays mafia and doesn't know a losing argument when he's saying one either.
Do I need to pull up the chart of how many games were "rented out" over the course of one year? It was massive..and filled with AAA games.
Arguing who is doing what with paid online means little to this discussion. The point he's trying to make is that Sony is gouging the customer and it's costing them. My examples were to show that "gouging practices" seem to not make a difference to the 80m people who have bought a 360. You bringing up that Sony now has paid psn requirement for ps4 does nothing to my argument. If my point is that people will pay for these additional services or products so long as the value of the console itself deems such a purchase 'smart', then you saying ps4 uses ps+ only says that people will indeed purchase a mandatory ps+ as well, seeing as how the majority have deemed the ps4 the more valuable console.
The vita cost argument sucks, the memory card price argument sucks, and the giving away free shit as incentives argument sucks.
It's all bullocks.
Sony has memory card bundles.
Sony has mega pack bundles with 10 games in it.
Sony has bundles with 2 games and a memory card.
OH IT HAZ TO BE A GUD CARD THOUGH. 64GB IS WAT IT WELL TAKE 4 KONSUMERS TO BY IT.
Surely you see the ridiculousness.
Sony is already giving away the supposed bundle that this guy was saying it needed, except it's not a 64GB card. Is it helping? NO.
How can you guys be so stubborn about this??
The argument is akin to 2 ice cream brands.
BRAND A has 5 flavors. Chocolate, Vanilla, strawberry, butterscotch, and coffee. It costs more than the competitor and doesn't sell even a fourth as much ice-cream.
The competitor, BRAND B, has 200 flavors, including special flavors every month for events, like jalapeno margarita during cinco de mayo. It also costs less than the other brand.
OH I NO! JUS GIB MORE ICECREAMS SCOOPES FOR BRAND A. AND FREE SPRINKLES, SPRINKERS ARE A RIPOFF, AN MAKE THE CONE TOO BIGGER OF SIZE. DTHAT WAY, FOR SAME LITTLE BIT MORE U GET 4 SCOOPS INSTED OF 2 AND SPRINKERS AND HUGE CONE. THAT WILL MAKE EBRYONE COME TO BAND A STORE FROM FAR N WIDE
