I've been gaming a lot less ever since I started working, that's for sure. But at no point in time I completely quit gaming other than maybe a month or so because of traveling and stuff like that. While my playtimes have become a lot shorter throughout the years, I won't quit anytime soon.

Maybe when I get married and have kids, but I'm not planning to get married anytime soon haha.

There are some periods where I stop gaming, but it's generally just a swing of interest. Stop gaming to read more books or watch more TV, etc.

Ive never understood why someone has to have a full on quit. just play when you fee like it. do whetever else you do and if you have free time where your not doing anything play. just play the few games a year that you know youll enjoy

I've thought about quitting certain games (That I feel have more of a negative impact than gaming in general does on me), such as League of Legends. And I have indeed taken several months off at a time before.

But never have I thought about completely giving up gaming entirely. I don't see it as being a bad part of my life. I absolutely love to play games, but (unlike how I used to be), I know when something takes priority over gaming. Right now, for example, I'm going to school full time, and working about 40 hours per week. Knowing I needed to study (and occupying my pre-sleep time with Netflix) meant I only played a couple hours last week. This coming spring I'm going to have an internship where I will be working 55+ hours per week. That leaves Saturday evenings and Sundays open...odds are I will be doing stuff with friends a bunch of those days, so I may hardly play at all for several months.

Gamers like us, the core, who have done it our whole lives, never quit. We take breaks, but we will always come back. It's a part of our DNA lol

i quit certain genres and certain companies. As long as games like Zombi U, Enslaved, Bayonetta, Darksiders, GTA, Red Dead, Elder Scrolls, Mario 3D, Metroid, Zelda, Wave Race..... This could get really long..... As long as games like those exist and get my adrenaline pumpin', I will be a gamer.

I've been gaming all my life. I had some breaks of some weeks but I ALWAYS go back. It's my hobby apart from cooking. I really like to sit down a little and play a video game, I deeply enjoy my time. Even if it is shorter now because of work, but I will never stop or think about leaving gaming never!

Sometime within the six months after the launch of the PS3. I didn't play games at much and was only playing portable games. My best friend and I made a joke about it because it was past six months since I was last on PSN since I was on his friends list. There was just nothing that made the PS3 worth playing and the DS and PSP were doing really good at the time.

I recently got my hand on the last of us, currently playing it. Pretty fun so far, good story.....starting to get pretty boring.
